Heads up: Replace Key Fob Battery

Didn't they replace the batteries in your key fobs at your annual service? That's on the list, but you have to remember to give them your spare key fob.

When my car went in for (non-routine) service, they sent an email reminding me to give them both fobs. I assume it was for battery replacement.

They will also replace the key fob she'll if it's getting too worn.

They replaced my fob battery at the 2-year service last month and gave me an extra for the other fob which was left at home.

I keep a spare battery in the glove box. I figure if my fob goes dead, I can open the car via the mobile app and pop the new battery in.

Tesla installs a new battery in my fob about once a year, and leaves a second in the car presumably for the second fob. I've never changed the second fob's battery, but never use it.
