Hi guys! I have purchased a Tesla roadster seat few weeks back from Craig Lynch. After I spend some time talking to him in his shop found out he was the original upholstery guy for our cars! Craig is interested doing a group buy to renewing roadster seats. If anybody is interested please sign up and I’ll forward it to Craig and you can deal with him directly!

Here are the pricing structure.

Deposit would be $700 per seat, with balance due on completion and shipment.
A group of 6 to 12 seats:
$1,600.00 EACH or $3,000 pair.
A group of 12 to 24 seats:
$1,400.00 EACH or $2,600.00 pair
Does not include shipping, you will pay for actual shipping cost of the seats.

The new seat will include new install oem leather material, pattern, color and embroidery of your choice. He will check for padding and refoam as needed.

Turn over would be about 3 weeks, you send in Your old seats and Craig will have a set of core seats for the fastest turn over time as possible.

Here’s a video about him and the seats!

Thanks guys!

How does he want us to contact him? Many thanks for spearheading this and welcome to TMC roadster!

Tempting. My seats are in great shape but not crazy about the black interior here in Phoenix. Guessing shipping them off would be a challenge though. Not sure where I’d find a box big enough. Is he doing the door panels etc too?

A few years back, I purchased a spare seat and it was shipped to me in a U-Haul Wardrobe box. It was the perfect size, and with enough packing material, it arrived in perfect condition.

@Will001, how many people do we have signed up?

I’ve place orders for 2 sets and paid deposit. My quoted price was higher than what you had listed above. Will Craig adjust the final price base on the number in the group buy?

Thanks again for helping to organize this group buy.

Thanks for getting back to me Will.

I’m out of town for the next week, does anybody have any advice, video, or thread on removing the seats? I imagine it’s just a few bolts but I know we have seat heaters and that lumbar support in there too. As well as probably some pressure sensors. Hopefully it’s straight forward but thought I’d do some homework while I’m away so I can tackle pulling them out when I get home.

I‘ve attached pictures in case above link stops working. Yeah, I’m far from tech savvy on attaching files.
I’m also excited for my new seats too, Goodluck!!!

Super helpful! Does look very straight forward just wanted to make sure I wasn’t getting into anything too crazy. Thank you for posting these.

I had considered doing the Alcantera suede to replace my black seats with something cooler here in the AZ desert. Always loved the look of those seats. Sounds like it will be more $ but maybe worth it. Anybody else opting for suede? thanks again Will for organizing this.
