FSD Beta 10.69

All updates have the “up to 25 minute” estimate AFAIK. This is the first time I’ve seen an update go longer than that, though. Mine is at 60% installed after 30 minutes
My install took 30 minutes, and most of that time was stuck at 60%. My last install was also 30 minutes.

Did m morning commute to the office after down loading. I thought I was going to be reporting that the car did it on its own in traffic. got within a tenth of a mile to my office and the car jumped into the turn lane and I had to disengage. so much for the 44% improvement on lane visualization. I didn't have to touch anything for the entire trip. turn signals are doing better, not perfect but improved.

Overall it is a lot smoother ride. did good through the neighborhood. Didn't get to run on unmarked section though.

Installing here too! I just walked out into the garage to get something, and saw the headlights flash very briefly, followed by a typical “thunk” sound. Is that normal during SW installs? Don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.
Yeah. Probably the HV battery contacts disconnecting and reconnecting during a restart.

Might be helpful to listen to these:

pretty typical. I used to stay in the car during OTA updates. car makes all sorts of noises during the process.

kinda like this:

kinda lonely here on TMC in the AM on the east coast. I guess it makes sense since most Teslas owners in the US are on the west coast.
Actually, woke up around 3 am as I sometimes do, checked the forums, then checked the M3 on the app and it was 50% downloaded. Kicked off the install 10 or 15 minutes later and it was done before getting back into bed.

NJ counts as East Coast, right?

East coast here.
Just did my first 2 drives on 69.2 and I have to remember not to judge a new release right away since both drives were terrible. Worst drives in over 6 months.
Lots of phantom braking, wrong lane selections, round about disasters (x2) and pretty much anything that could go wrong did. After working fine on earlier builds still rockets from one turn to another in my neighborhood when the turns are a tenth of a mile apart. I guess I'll go back to not enabling FSD until I leave my neighborhood which I began doing after receiving 10.12.2.

I did see a couple of areas of improvements. Stayed right on unmarked road and was more confident on several turns.
Bad initial drives has happened before so I'll be optimistic FSD will improve for me.

Ack, that doesn't sound promising...

So clear regression over .1.1? Sounds like 10.69.1.0 all over again...

Got mine when I awoke as well. My commute is 5 steps to my home office so I’ll have to take it for a drive at lunch.

I’ll be taking a road trip up the East coast in the coming weeks and hope to use FSD and NOA for most of the trip from NC to Connecticut and possibly Rhode Island.

10.69.1.2 Installed here. Routine test drive was surprisingly improved - including dealing with a stopped trash truck during trash collection on a two lane street. FSDb waited, then properly crossed double yellow line to go around trash truck. Total test drive was much less jerky. First impression is significant improvement over 10.12.2
