Relatively new here but have been spending countless hours reading the threads on audio upgrades for the SR+. I'm wondering if anyone can compare speaker activation through one of the harnesses compared to upgrading the front dash speakers to the Infinity Reference mids. I already have an aftermarket sub planned and was thinking of doing the Hansshow DIY harness but am having second thoughts. Here are my initial thoughts:
DIY Harness
+ Activates 4 speakers
+ Relatively cheap and easy
- people report issues with sound quality
- Is there a big difference in sound? Some people say the tweeters and overhead speaker don't make a huge difference.
Front Dash Speakers
+ Not expensive if just doing the 2 outer speakers.
+ People report huge difference in highs
- More expensive than DIY harness when you add in all the needed hardware. (is it worth it?)
