Destin, FL Supercharger is finally open.

For those of you who had to endure the 3rd party slow chargers OR travel 45 min outside of Destin to charge, we finally have our own Tesla Supercharger in Destin. Located in the Winn-Dixie parking lot off Emerald Coast, with 12 stalls, well lit, easy access, life is about to get much sweeter for Tesla owners traveling to Destin.

This is excellent news! I have been following this installation on PlugShare for awhile as my trip there is this coming Sunday. I even ordered a CCS adapter from Tesla last week which will arrive this Wednesday so that I could use the FPL chargers in Fort Walton Beach. I will need this for Electrify America locations in the future as a backup to SC’s while traveling. So far SC’s have always been available but there will be that day when I need it.

The permit for this Supercharger was dated for February 2, 2024.
After 423 days, it finally opened on April 1.

It's great to see it up and running; I was starting to think we might never get this Supercharger!
