I've just been browsing and I noticed sometimes when I switch from new to used tab I see a comparable used car for MORE than the new car???? I've seen this a few times in different zip codes.
What am I missing - this just doesn't make sense.
So if people don't click on new - or check build to order they can pay MORE for a lesser car (eg I found a LR s one at 75 and one a 100 for the same price both new but the used ones were thousands more and no tax credit!). Are people really this stupid or does Tesla just not care about selling the used ones? (rhetorical question)
my guess is that Tesla is trying to move as many new units before end of quarter. Delivery of new cars is what drives the stock, not total number of cars delivered.
Need to check the listings carefully. Just a few options (like autopilot, free supercharging for life, ludicrous mode) can make $10,000 difference between vehicles.
I think they are keeping used car prices artificially high to drive new car sales. I've been tracking features and prices on new vs used 100s for a month now. Used car prices are in some cases same as, or higher than new. And the 17s and 18s don't have free supercharging.
I bought my 11/15 p90dL a couple months ago from Tesla. It’s got every possible option and I paid $59k with 27,000 miles. You can’t do that right now. My biz partner is trying with no luck. He’s $65k for same car.
