There aren't many documentaries that are hard for me to watch emotionally. This one was probably tied with 'The Cove'. As difficult as it is to watch I absolutely rank it as a 'must see'. The most profound part is that you're witnessing the near complete destruction of one of the most diverse and beautiful ecosystems on the planet. Anyone that has had the privilege to dive a reef knows what I'm talking about... if you haven't, go soon there may not be much time left...
The fact that one of the primary researchers Dr Ruth Gates passed away last month from Brain Cancer made this even more poignant. They do a devastatingly good job in the film of demonstrating the consequences of a relatively small change in temperature on the coral.
