If this is the second hand EV specialist i think it is, I dont think you will get anywhere as they do not warrant wheels or tyres after it has left their premises. I had an issue when I picked mine up where the TPMS valves were leaking. They wouldnt even entertain changing them. Another issue i have learnt from buying second hand cars. TBH i didnt check the date tyres either. they were the OEM Michellins and they all had half decent tread on them, however i suspect they may have been the original on the car from 2018, and about a month or two after having the car large chunks started coming off of them. changed them for some Hankooks (actually Mercedes OEM versions) as they had the accoustic foam in them. The mis match isnt great but its not a legla requirement, more of a best practice.

If you're going to supply opinion in a forum outside your regular jurisdiction, realise that UK laws are considerably different, eg. your view is not worth an email postage stamp ;)

I'm saying this as a retired US lawyer in the UK.

I said as much about US / UK laws in the first line of the post. It would be nice to hear what the difference is from what I said, vs just being rude about what I said and ignoring I said "maybe the laws are different".

Be nice, he stated he was speaking of the law in the US. As a retired dual-qualified lawyer (NY, NJ and England), while not my area of expertise, I don't believe the laws are materially different on this one. What did he say that was incorrect?
