IMO what is going to be revealed 8/8 is a Robotaxi.

The event will mainly be focus on the vehicle's functionality and the design decisions, but will also outline the business plan for the Tesla network.

The Austin factory will start producing Robotaxis at particular date e.g. June 2025, the Tesla network business plan must mesh with that.

Bears and bulls will spin the event any way they want to, while it isn't a "bet the company" proposition, Tesla is all in on Robotaxis.

New factories like Mexico are also likely to produce Robtaxis as their first vehicle.

That way when these factories start producing new 25K car variants there will be an experienced workforce in place at the factory.

The start date for 25K car production is partially dependent of Tesla Network and Robotaxi success and the ability of existing earnings to cover the cost of Robtaxi production

Should the Robotaxi provide to be very successful the 25K car will be further delayed. Lifetime earnings form a Robotaxi far exceed the profit on the sale of a car, and in terms of the mission a Robotaxi displaces a lot more emissions than a private car.

Should there be some technical or regulatory issue with FSD, Tesla will pivot to production of the 25K car sooner. But at the event I don't expect a reveal of a 25K car, I think the details and timelines will be deliberately vague.
