2023 Model S Plaid with 21" wheels loud sounds and shaking/vibration on wet slow maneuvers

Hi folks,

So my '23 MSP with 21" factory wheels with Michelin PS4 tires behave quite scary at slow speeds and especially in the wet, when doing slow maneuvers, like parking and especially when there is more steering lock involved. Almost guaranteed to happen if full lock is used in the scenario described earlier. It's like a bad loud sound as if the wheel is about to come off, and vibration and bang can be easily heard and felt through the steering wheel. It does it on both left and right turns....as if the tire is about to be removed from the rim.


Does anyone experience this?

I didn't check but I will and take a video of it. I mean they shouldn't...but heck you can never know.

Found a similar post here by someone else but I'm not exactly sure they are experiencing the same thing!

My new 19' Michelins rub when turning hard right, and they are just the same stock size tires as OEM. For now, I just don't turn that far.

I had the exact same problem. See my recent post. Check the tire sizes. On Model S, rear tires are larger than front. Mine has 255/45R19 front tires and 285/40R19 rear tires/
