I got this beast on 03/31.

This is my first car ever (you will get to know by my excitement). The most expensive car that I had driven before this was Honda Civic (Zipcar). I was always a car enthusiast but could not drive much as I was busy with studies traveling to different states and countries.

Delivery experience:
1) Took factory tour at 9:00, What an amazing factory! The factory tour guy was hillarious!
2) Met my delivery specialist(substitute) at 9:45. Was treated really really well. I had gone looking at many dealerships (BMW, Jaguar, Mercedes) and was treated very poorly. The almost did not want to sell me anything (I look 20-ish).
3) Saw the car -> a tear rolled down my eyes -> dream come true.
4) Sat in the car for the first time -> WOW! I had not even test driven the car as I got my US license 2 weeks ago.
5) Did a walkthrough! I almost knew more than the delivery specialist, but she was really kind and answered all my questions and consulted others if she didn't know. The only thing that I was not aware of was the auto-tilt feature of the side-view mirrors.
6) Finished paperwork.
7) Came out of the delivery tent to get the demo of summon from the specialist! My friend who came with me and did not have an idea about this flipped out!
8) They said the car is all your now, you are free to go.
9) Left the factory -> entered highway and switched to auto-pilot instantly (my friend flipped out and almost wet his pants).
10) Tried (0-60) -> What a smile on me and my friends face -> priceless.
11) Drove 200+ miles the same day. Could not leave the car for a second. Came out to the garage to take calls just to be near the car. Friends enjoyed a lot every single one of them told me that this is the best thing you have done in your entire life.
12) Went to work, everyone at the office went crazy! Became an Uber driver for that day :D.
13) Currently 300+ driven in 2 days! Still can't believe the car is mine! Loving every single moment of ownership! Worth every penny.

Extra bonus points! :
1) Auto-pilot worked every single time (even inside city - I know it is not recommended). There was only one case where I did not trust the car. It was while entering a small bridge with not proper lane markings and no car around)
2) Auto-park - > Only tried Auto perpendicular parking. Worked 100% of the time when it was able to detect the spot (8/10) times.
3) Tesla UHFS was good but did not feel the extra money paid for. Sat down and tweaked the settings. Dolby: On, Bass: 12, Mid: 2.5, Treble: 0. Now it sounds amazing! Almost as good as my 7.1 Sony sound system at home. Also changed sound quality to best in slacker. I would really like Spotify though or at least playlist browsing.
4) Supercharger: only went to one(twice). It was jam-packed, but cars leave often so not a big deal.
5) 21 inch tires -> not a single regret. Can't believe such big tires can be so smooth.
6) Handling -> WOW! Amazing! You really can't tell it is a 5000+ pound car.
7) I thought I would miss the engine noise of a sports car -> Nope, now it is just noise. I really like the airplane like sound of the motor,

If anyone wants to ask me anything, please do. People still deciding wether to buy or not -> Let me save you some time -> Just do it!

I did my first 200+ mile one way trip last weekend and went the Fremont factory for a charge and pit stop. IMHO, the Tesla Superchargers with a Service Center or factory store are the best rest stops...free drinks, coffee and WiFi.

Are those premium services offered in all service center or only on Fremont (as it is the main one). Do we have to schedule for charging? I read somewhere that we have to.

You guys are killing me with these. Enjoying your cars while mine has been stuck in delivery hell since my car finished production on 3/29. I live in Utah , it's like a 12 hour drive. Such a poor delivery (non) experience for me. How dare you post about halving fun with your awesome cars;)

I feel for you man! I really do. I guarantee you that once you get your beast, you will completely forget about all of this.

No need to schedule for charging...if there is an open spot, take it. The service center near me has better offerings; in addition to coffee, water and WiFi, they also have fruit juice, candy and granola bars.

Good to know! These guys really spoil us. I don't think I'll be able to drive any other car after this.

This was the first time I drove to the Bay Area and back without having to visit a gas station. The ironic thing that happened to me was I made a wrong turn as I was heading towards the freeway on ramp and I passed through a gas station to avoid having to make a u-turn...let's just say I had a good laugh about it.

Haha! There is a similar video. Teslaites(did I just invent that?) go to a gas station just to wash their windshield !
