I'm not being silly, they had to replace my whole charge unit because I was having problems with the charge port not opening. There are actual problems, but at least Tesla is correcting them.

I have this issue off and on and have found with my car if I open and close the rear driver side door then the charge port opens the next time I push the botton on the charger. Give that a try, maybe it'll help.
