This is the official retrofit of model 3 CCS been announced?

Yea, no. I was checking as they put stuff back together... "Why is this panel loose? "And why is this panel loose?' He had extra clips in the car. After the rear camera wiring harness recall it took 3 trips back to the service center before the trunk door trim panel was reinstalled...

This is the official retrofit of model 3 CCS been announced?

I just had it done. Mobile service just left (while also replacing my original 2018 12v battery). Took about 1.5 to 2 hours (mostly waiting for the software to load). I wanted to get a pic of the new CCS module but he said I wasn't allowed. Don't know what part number they used. I wonder if...

Non Tesla on a Destination Charger - Bad Etiquette ?

Heading to Long Beach for a few days. Good deals on EVs at Hertz ($62/day - 3rd day free). I drive an M3 at home. I'd like to try something different (perhaps I'll be sorry). I guess it has to be a Polstar 2 (wish there was a Mustang or Kia/Hyundai to play with). Some of the Hotels I'm...

OEM CCS adapter now available to order in North America, Retrofit for older cars coming in 2023

Me too.... ☹️ I guess that's the goal post moving back 6 months. (I've been ignoring the camera harness recall waiting for this)

FSD beta expansion to new beta testers June 2022

OK, I'm one of the newbee's that just turned on today. Normally, my score is not that great, but it jumped to 96 after a long road trip (with auto pilot time) a couple of weeks ago (the squealing alerts from the safety alarm sitting in the passenger seat also helps with the "aggressive...

Charging port door closes very quickly

Not touching the app. but if I push the button to unlock and remove the mobile connector the door now closes so fast that it sometimes slaps the connector as I'm pulling it out.

Charging port door closes very quickly

I've noticed this too. Problem started two software versions ago.

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Well, I'd guess the value of the Setec CCS1 adapter is going to rapidly fall off with the upcoming release of the U.S. adapter. At the moment the value is stronger for the S & X people. Before I go post in the Tesla parts forum, anyone want my barely used adapter? Bought it for emergency road...

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

I get what you're saying. I realize they are outside the country with a different set of conditions. But they have not tried twice and still not gotten a fix. Do we now how the 3/Y is identifying the SETEC vs CHADEMO? Here's a what-if. Isn't the CHADEMO adapter more then a dump pass-thru...

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Kinda weird that they are giving out these versions to try. I wonder if they are testing it themselves first.

Xcel Time of Use Rates in Colorado

I've been poking around this again. I need to give XCel a call. You can opt-out, but it sounds like that incurs a $12/month manual meter reading fee. It seems like it should be technically possible to install the new (remote accessible) meters, but still provide the "opt-out" rate structure...

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Just received a Setec adapter. Ordered 4/26 and arrived 4/30 (Denver). Shipped from Brea, Ca. UPS Ground. A tracking number would have been nice. There were no follow up messages post order. Doing Denver to Santa Fe next month and would like a backup charging source.

Xcel Time of Use Rates in Colorado

Holy crap, you system is huge. Thanks for all the Wow, thanks for all the detail. Holy crap, your system is huge. I'm so small (7 kw solar) it's amazing you can even see me down here. You must be quite a power user. Interesting your Xcel problems. Amazing they upgraded the transformer...

Xcel Time of Use Rates in Colorado

Yea, the high peak rate is great for Power Wall people. It's still a big expense with a long (if ever) payback period. Can help Xcel a lot too. They should throw in a 1-2k rebate on a power wall install. That would be interesting. So are you happy with your powerwall. How's it work during...

Xcel Time of Use Rates in Colorado

Thanks, So no more mid-rate, and only peak only during the summer months. I'll have to think about it. I think I can live with that. I was mostly not liking the fact that I'd have to buy back power at a higher rate then what I'm producing it at. A few months only will lessen the effect.

Xcel Time of Use Rates in Colorado

So can you read the total power on that thing? I was thinking it was just showing power snippets over small time intervals. My friend could not figure out how to read the meter (to compare solar production numbers). Did you find instructions on how to read the meter ?

Xcel Time of Use Rates in Colorado

hmmm, thanks. Peak, Off-Peak. Is there a shoulder rate still in there? Or just two rates now?

Xcel Time of Use Rates in Colorado

:) Thanks. I have a friend who did solar about a year after me. He already has these weird meters where the number are constantly jumping around and seem impossible to read directly. I guessing these are the TOU meters ? He wasn't initially on TOU. I suppose they can switch him over anytime.

Xcel Time of Use Rates in Colorado

Just popped in here so see if there's any updates. As someone pointed out earlier, TOU is going to extend the solar payback period. 60% to 70% of my power is going to be at the lowest tier (my panels get more sun in the morning). Makes me want a power wall (though the economics still probably...

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

Yes, both my Tesla and SolarEdge monitors are simultaneously functional again. The story goes all they back to Solar City. I griped when they turned off the Solar City monitoring portal and asked customer service to authorize SolarEdge monitoring. I didn't expect anything, but about a month...

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

I think they changed that in the last year. I do have a production grantee (from an early 2019 install). I have a friend who installed at the end of 2019 (after the price drop w/ the fixed sized systems) and he does not have a production grantee. Irregardless, the system would still have a...

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

I'm a bit afraid to mess with those. "PAN ID" may be specific to my unit, and might "Scan Channel" trigger an attempt to re-pair the Zigbee. Can you even manually set the PAN ID and Channel ? If you lost the Zigbee connection I think you need to do some kind of "Device Discovery" as described...

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

Maybe this will help. I bet solar7 from this post can help you. He knows how to pair a Gateway. There might also be instructions in the Inverter manual. SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

I finally got around to trying the Ethernet connection. I had to go to the communication service menu and change the server to "LAN". Then "S_OK" appeared and solaredge portal data slowly filled in back to 2/16. Tesla monitoring was cut off until I switched it back to "Zigbee". So, I guess...

Xcel Time of Use Rates in Colorado

Doesn't look great for me. I'm net positive during the workday as I've got my house idle power down to 300 watts. They shifted the start of the shoulder two hours later. I produce pretty good power between 9 and 11, so that would be credited at the off-peak rate. And, the later start of the...

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

Thanks. Well, still good to know there is another option to avoid wiring up the Ethernet. Is it hard to go back and forth between the two boxes (have to re-pair each time) ?

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

Mine is still not back. Did you do anything to get it going? I tried updating the inverter firmware. Downloaded 3.2525 from Firmware Updates for Inverters with Display | SolarEdge . I copied it to an 8 gig uSD card. On inverter powerup it said "updating" but got stuck at 13% then just...

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

Hmmmm, I wonder if it would matter if the receiver box is in front of or behind the router. Can't reach the plug right now (it's behind the TV), but could try plugging it directly into the cable modem.... Or maybe the DMZ setting in the router.

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

Thanks for the update, Chancellor32. Sigh, maybe I'll play around with the Ethernet over the holiday break. Like jakestgermain, I'm disappointed. I guess we were never promised solaredge monitoring to begin with, but to take it away seems even worse. One of my friends just had solar installed...

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

I'd do that, Chancellor32, but I don't want to void my warranty by cutting off data to Tesla. My understanding is that if you connect the data and do NOT have a powerwall to send data, then this may cut off data flow Tesla... And void out the warranty. Especially the production guarantee...

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

Yea, I'm missing the S_OK too. Interesting. I was assuming the data went to the Tesla server then was forwarded to Solar Edge. But if that was the case the inverter wouldn't know if the data was being forwarded. So, does the data go direct to SolarEdge or still through the Tesla server as...

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

Thanks. Do you also have a PowerWall? How is the Tesla app doing? Getting updates? This is all so dumb. Tesla is sitting on an inferior monitoring platform which is just begging us to look for work-a-rounds. And a general question. An Ethernet cable will not do any good unless Tesla has...

SolarEdge Monitoring w/Tesla Solar Panels (Using GWY10 Zigbee Gateway)

Mine is showing: Last Updated: 11/22/2019 03:08 Yuk. I guess Tesla wants you to use their app since it integrates with the PowerWall. If Tesla would at least gather up the panel performance data and include it in the data download it wouldn't be so bad. They wouldn't need to mess with the...

Dropping off for PPF (1st time handing over the card) - Pin to Drive

Thanks again, I will ask them some more questions. They did window tint on a co-workers M3. I'm not sure if it's the same person (but things like disabling PIN and Sentry are things I need to remember to do). The place has been around a long time. They did a Corvette for me a ways back. So I...

Dropping off for PPF (1st time handing over the card) - Pin to Drive

Thanks, golfleep. I didn't think about turning off sentry mode. The same place did a co-workers M3 window tint so I assume they'll know what to do on their end (though I'll be keeping an eye on the app to make sure they don't go cruising around). My thinking as to the front bumper is that it...

Dropping off for PPF (1st time handing over the card) - Pin to Drive

I'm dropping off my M3 for some paint protection (I'd sit and wait/watch, but they tell me it'll be 3-4 hours). I'm going to do the Hood, Front Fenders, Mirrors & Rocker Panels (those pics of rocker panel paint sand blasting are ugly). I'm in Denver. They mostly stay away from using sand and...

Don't want heater on, want vent

I like this idea. I like an automated climate control system. When it's cool/cold out I'll lower the temp (maybe 60-65) and fire up the seat heaters to save power. But in the afternoon I end up with a blasting A/C trying to over cool the car and have to turn the temp back up. The two temp...
