I agree, there are hundreds of much cheaper Chinese phones but Apple still reigns supreme. Same will happen with Tesla they will have the big margins, superior and more trusted brand, design, software, services, integration etc Even in China Tesla is a more desired product over any home grown...

What harm is it doing? Is it ok for Reuters to publish damaging false news stories about Tesla? I think it's good to push back and make fun of them.

It's obviously not, but In 6 months it will be history The folks left will feel more valued as they have been rewarded by not being fired Meanwhile Tesla will be leaner and operating more efficiently without the dead weight If someone still there is feeling demoralised they can leave, there are...

This is a reasoned post and I agree with most of it, the next year or so will not show a significant growth, however I believe foundations are being laid for a a return to growth in 2026-2030 and beyond. We will know more come 8/8, but for me this is a time to accumulate and hold.

I have been reflecting and think this thread is better than one limiting the posters, there will always be users with questionable intentions. I would rather just scroll passed these and keep the thread as is. I will just not reply (or thumbs down) any posts I feel are in bad faith. Criticism...

    The demise of the OEMs

In other words they waited too long to innovate and are now giving up and have the stench of emission scandal all over them. There is a reason Model Y is the best selling car in the world, customers will vote with their cash. These dinosaurs are all going to go extinct.

Yes I think you are correct not to throw the baby out with the bathwater, by labelling anyone who post anything that's not Uber Bullish as a troll. I have been guilty of that to some extent but will be more attentive going forward.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Never seen anyone say that before, got any examples? What I have seen recently is lots of really good contributors leaving the thread due to the incessant negative FUD being posted then users trying to argue against it when it's clear the person is just posting any old negative story with no...

Let me guess does the story come from "Unnamed Sources"? Shorts will try every trick in the book to keep the stock down, Im pleased as I can buy more and more at low low prices ;)

I agree, some great posters have already left or stopped posting and no doubt more will follow. It will be left with Fudsters and bots arguing with posters who think they are debating with someone in good faith. The mods here have been great at keeping things on topic but they seem to have a...

I feel similar, no moderation, anything goes, except of course pointing out how bad it's got. Will check on now and again to see if it improves, sad to see a once great thread reduced to this.

Troy's work has value as a tracking (not predictive) service, but when he starts giving opinions he's straying way out of his lane. It's fine to have opinions of course but I don't value them as it's all speculation, he has no more information than any of us.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I agree that's one (and probably initial use case of the bot), however if they become consumer products they will have to navigate the real world, peoples houses, outside world etc. However I think that is years away so they have plenty time to train the bot for that.

Warren is very old and will be handing over the reigns to a younger generation of investors. The problem is he either missed the boat on FSD and watches his insurance stocks drop or invests in Tesla. He doesn't have to stop investing in Coca Cola etc BH has $100+bn in cash itching to be invested.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

These companies will benefit most from Semi+FSD. It will save on fuel, maintenance and driver costs long term.
  24. Ellec

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Yes, not doubt BH will have people keeping an eye on FSD progress (i.e. buying and testing the software, not following a few X poster lol) and will either have been or will invest in Tesla, they will not announce it before hand so by the time Joe Public knows they will have accumulated a large...

Yep, out of ideas for new products, failed at building the autonomous car. Imagine what Tesla would do with $100 billion?

    Super Bulls Only

This is why Im invested, the company is laying foundations for this right now. The potential is enormous as no other public company has such a long term view. I feel like Tesla is a company where you would be better just checking their annual figures, anything shorter is noise.

Too much change might make these forums less busy which might have an effect on content generation which could impact TMC forums ad revenue, hence don’t talk about a feature that is part of the forum or use a feature that shortcuts responses. To have these features then warn people they will...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I think the $499 would be for adding your vehicle to the network i.e. you would recoup some or all of the cost by letting your car be used as a CyberCab/RobotTaxi, also $499 is pulled from my ass so no idea what the numbers will end up as. I just think it will be higher than $99 when it's more...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Not now, but imagine FSD becomes 10x safer (proven by data) than manual driving. Insurance will drop and Tesla will likely offer very cheap insurance or included with FSD. The $499 number could include insurance, connectivity, services etc on a sub 30k car, that could be added to the CyberCab...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Fair enough, I was just paraphrasing what Elon said, I don't feel your contributions are pointless, I was just pointing out with autonomy/FSD there is a larger opportunity. Especially if they are first and then license it out to other manufacturers and increase volume. One scenario is FSD is so...

I agree we need a balanced discussion, but the recent users only post negative comments, which is just as bad as ultra bulls who discount anything negative. Troy tracks numbers and usually updates them toward the end of the quarter as more information so they end up looking accurate and like...

Exactly, the reason I invest in Tesla is I trust Elon and his team to do what's best for Tesla as a company and the overall mission, based on previous results of this and other companies he runs, im 100% confident with that. There are probably only a handful of people in the world that could...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Fantasy post I know, but what if Tesla has a breakthrough in battery technology that means having super chargers everywhere is no longer necessary. i.e. 1000 miles on a single charge... a boy can dream! 😁

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

There will be sound business/mission logic to the decision to cut the teams. I don't think Elon would do this without good reason or based on some emotional outburst. Remember Elon has the ultimate insider view of the company as a whole (as well as many others) and will be mutiple steps ahead...

Looks like part of the change of direction covered in the conference call. Focus on the FSD/CyberCab and variations on existing Models till they get to 3 million per year is my guess, will probably all be revealed on 8/8 which is smart as it avoids too much Osborne effect.

Unless it was a deal something like "You must continue to use Baidu's maps and not start using Google's or another company for FSD roll out"
