    P85DL+ for sale

I have a pristine 2015 P85D+ offered for sale in Scottsdale AZ 2015 Tesla Model S P85D. This is not just any P85D. This is one of the few P85Ds that have been upgraded by Tesla to Ludacris (0-60 in 2.8 sec!!!). Additionally, it was manufactured in March of 2015, when Tesla was including the...

    P85 vs 85D

Also, keep in mind that all 85D’s will have AP1 hardware and some will have next gen seats which are a huge improvement over the original Tesla seats. Autopilot P85’s are rare and none have next gen seats. If these things are important to you then the 85D will be the way to go.

Crazy Carwash fail!!! Has this happened to anyone else?

Yeah, I taped it open and let it dry overnight before plugging it back in. No issues Used Tow Mode the second time, same issue

Crazy Carwash fail!!! Has this happened to anyone else?

I've had a really alarming issue in my local Cleanfreak car wash on 2 separate occasions. I have a 2015 P85D and when I take it to the carwash the following happens. About 3/4 of the way through the carwash the car goes into park and gives me a "check charge port" warning. From what I can...

Looking for some wisdom for choosing 75D vs 100D

This is a very good point. I bought a model S supplement my sports car (BMW z4m). I figured I commute to work in the Tesla and enjoy the sports car more on the weekends. Not a chance, the BMW has been collecting dust since I got the Tesla, and it’s now on the market. Once you go electric you...

Performance Price Change, Delivery Delay, and Tesla Called me to Ask Why I Didn"t Order the P

This is probably nothing to be concerned about, manufacturers frequently do this. The factory top speed can not exceed the speed rating of the tires, so most likely the tires that come standard have a lower speed rating. Acceleration should not be affected

Tesla gave me a loaner P85D, now I hate my 75D

I feel as though I am in a good position to comment on this subject. I bought a rwd 75 just before the uncork was announced, and made the mistake of driving a friends p85d. The difference is night and day. The power off the line and the midrange passing power was a total game changer (I also...

    New navigation on dash?

I have a 2015 P85D and running 10.4 (just updated yesterday). I just checked and my nav looks exactly like the picture. I don’t use it much so I’m not sure what’s changed. What’s different?

Kid's seat in rear of Model S.

I had the same issue with my son's booster. The seatbelt receptacle ends up under the seat making it very hard to buckle for him. I moved his seat to the passenger side, where there are 2 receptacles (One for the outboard seat and one for the middle) and he can get at it a little better...

P90D - What battery versions should I avoid?

You could always get a P85D with Ludicrous now, save a few bucks and not have to worry as much about battery degradation. If you're lucky you may even find one with the + suspension Happy Hunting

    2018 75D vs. 2014 P85D

Good move, You won't regret it. I think there is way too much focus on 0-60 times. The big advantage of the P85D (or any larger battery car) is the higher power at speed. The small battery cars (at 350 volts) run out of steam very quickly. The uncorking made them faster off the line, but...

    2018 75D vs. 2014 P85D

While I agree that residual value is likely a crapshoot, I faced a similar dilemma. I bought a new, lightly optioned 75 in April at a time when the CPO inventory was low. Shortly after purchase I made a few discoveries. 1) AP2.0 wasn’t close to the performance of 1.0. 2) new 75’s and 75D’s...

Should Tesla offer a $5,000 Ludicrous Upgrade to move CPO P85D's ?

How did you come to this conclusion? I bought a CPOP P85D in October that had been upgraded to Ludicrous by the previous owner. It wasn’t listed on The tesla CPO website or on EV-CPO as having ludicrous, However I was able to confirm the upgrade via my sales advisor prior to purchase. As far...

    2015 Model S 60 for sale

Your description notes “next generation” seats, however your photos clearly show original “classic” style seats. Next Gen seats were made by Recaro and were available on performance models in 2015. I’m not sure they were ever offered in the 60. Can you clarify what you mean by next...

    Model S P90DL power modifications

Interesting, then it will have the sport suspension from Tesla which is really cool. A P90DL with plus suspension is a rare find indeed.

    Model S P90DL power modifications

I’d say proceed with caution. Warranty may be voided due to modifications. May have trouble getting any support from tesla at all. Also, it sounds like this car has led a very hard life. How many times has he taken it to the drag strip during tuning/mods. Buying a used race car is asking...

    AP1 NDE

Wow, Getting into an accident is bad enough, but posting pictures of your car and then admitting you were paying attention exposes you to significant liability. What do you think the attorney for the driver you hit would think if you saw this post, recognize your car and noticed that you stated...

    Prospective owner questions

Agree with above. Primarily new tech for a P 100 D would be AP2.0/2.5 vs AP1.0. This may not be such a trade off, as many, including myself, feel that original version is superior. There are extensive post on this subject. Aside from that, a P100d might have the newer “premium” seats which...

    Prospective owner questions

Tesla tends to over emphasize 0-60 while downplaying other performance metrics. While 75d and 90/100d models have near identical 0-60 times, the 75’s tend to tail off quite quickly at highway speeds. The bigger battery non-P models are a bit better. Performance models (with ludicrous) are...

Buy AP1 car or wait and get AP2

I had an ap2.0 car (75rwd) and traded in for an ap1.0 P85DL. I agree that AP1 is a better experience at this point. It’s smoother and more confidence inspiring. Both work great on highways in light traffic, but AP2 is a big step back in heavy traffic or on surface streets. AP2 is also more...

Tesla just dumped a ton of new CPO's on it's site

My understanding is, that while not all pre-may 15 P85D’s had the staggered wheel set up from the p85+, They all have the sports suspension until the switchover in May. I certainly could be wrong, as 100% of my research has been done on this and other forums. If you have the car it is easy...

Tesla just dumped a ton of new CPO's on it's site

Shockingly, it was the first car I asked him to look up for me. At the time of purchase, there were only 3 P85D’s Available. Either I got lucky, or most of them already upgraded to ludicrous.

Tesla just dumped a ton of new CPO's on it's site

I used Justin Boordbalash to find my P85DL+ [email protected] The hunt is well worth it. Ludicrous and performance suspension (only on P85D's made prior to may 2015) totally transform the car.

Tesla just dumped a ton of new CPO's on it's site

Don't give up on the CPO P85DL just yet. There are a ton of P85D's listed on the ev-cpo website as we speak, some of them will have ludicrous but it won't state it anywhere in the listing. This is because, unlike the P90DL, no P85D came with ludicrous from the factory, so the upgrade won't be...

    P85DL battery question

Can someone please help me decipher this: I recently purchased in March 2015 P85DL via CPO. Out of curiosity, I just looked at the battery sticker and saw this. This looks like a replacement battery to me. I was also surprised to see that the Ludacris update is noted at the top of the...

Hi All, I hope to pick the brains of some of the more knowledgable members here to get a better understanding of how the MS battery pack has evolved from 2012 to now My understanding is as follows tesla has always offered 2 packs. A small 350v pack and a larger 400 volt pack the small pack...

    Ludicrous Retrofit No Longer Available???

I purchased a CPO P85D in october 2017 (CA car, AZ delivery). It wasn't listed as ludicrous, however when I checked with the sales associate (after putting down a deposit), he confirmed that my car was in fact upgrade to ludicrous, and that it would remain in place when I took delivery. I'm...

P85DL is the Ultimate CPO Model S Unicorn. Opinions???

I recently stumbled upon, and was fortunate enough to buy, a CPO P85DL Late march 2015 build. In my humble opinion, and after doing as much research as possible, I determined that this is the Ultimate CPO model S, at least for the performance enthusiast. I make this argument based upon the...

    Uncorking for RWD 75 (Non-D)

I bought a software limited 60rwd in april, right before they dropped the price of the 75, Buyer's remorse immediately. Upgraded to the 75 (to make me feel better, I suppose) did little for the buyer's remorse. Saw the stats on the model 3 and realized I'd have an issue with my, soon to be...
