Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
If one can now use a USB for the front what is recommended for the rear? I see most systems like Blackvue sell both cameras in pairs (front and back) and not separately.
Picked up my X75D a couple of months ago, 2000+ miles on it and not a single problem as yet!
One fit and finish issue which was minor and the SC fixed it with no issues.
Any suggestions on after market wipers for the X that do a better job than the stock ones? Just had 2 days of rain with the the stock wipers and the performance was less than desirable. Thanks.
I just upgraded my wheels to 22" turbines but I am not sure what height to set the suspension to? I have no issues with "low" (no slopes to contend with) but have heard that setting to low will wear out the tires faster?
What do you guys with 22" rims set your height to on the X and why?
Thanks!
Has anyone put opti coat on their windshield? I live in the PNW and am thinking of doing so due to the rain we get in winter but wondered if this has caused any issues with wiper chatter etc? I believe those were common issues a couple of years ago but no longer an issue off late?
I purchased black center caps ($4/ea) and black lug nut covers ($0.39/ea) from Tesla for my model 3 in February. I tried to order the same for my new X (same part numbers) and the prices for the black center caps have gone to $15/ea and black lug nut covers to $1/ea. Quite a steep increase in...
Agree, my delivery last night was OUTSTANDING. The team worked with me for over 2 hours (Portland, OR) to answer/address all my questions (finished at 8 PM), never rushed me and all I can say that I am a happy camper (now). Clearly expect some issues but willing to let the SC/Mobile Rangers help...
Oh man, this thread makes me feel queasy to say the least! I am due to pick up my new X75D by the end of the week in Portland OR and I am now more nervous than excited. Yes, please keep this thread alive with your updates as well as others. It is most helpful and appreciate it.
Great comments and thanks. My biggest concern is the "growth potential" say in the next 10 years since the top 3 companies have not even jumped into the EV category yet. In other words how long will Musk's hand holding the street work (hence the shorts losing money)? Is the bubble going to burst?
So let me clarify, I totally understand how great it is and how much better it is to its competitors otherwise I would not have put a deposit down for it. But, the question is what is the "RISK" factor in buying such an expensive car not knowing clearly the future of the company given the recent...
I know this might sound a little panicky since I am due to pick up my new X in a week or so - with all the negative press and stock shorting and renewed conversation about Tesla going bust in a couple of years, is it a good idea to invest in an X now or wait till the other big companies (BMW...
They may be super nice like mine as well but if I were you I would push this hard. Reason being my friends mid 2017 X developed a leak and it took them 3 months to get the right parts to fix it. While it may not be a problem now it could get worse once fall/ winter arrives. I am expecting my X...
Yes they have been as I was there last Saturday with a friend who took delivery. What makes no sense is both our cars started production on 6/6, yours was completed in 4 days, it’s now a week for me today and still says it’s in production..grrrr
Waiting impatiently, mine went into production on 6/6 and it stil says in production. DS is hoping delivery is this Saturday, keeping my fingers crossed.
That is exactly what I am going to do. Instead of paying $2K for 20" carbon wheels I decided to just get them as is and PC them. Way cheaper. I am actually NOT surprised that Tesla is doing this. This has been MY experience with them and hopefully this settles the dust. I have been asking for an...
For sure being closer to the factory helps for transit times etc. it only takes 2 days to ship to the PNW and then a couple to prep the car etc. I am hoping I can get mine earlier than 6/22 but I highly doubt it..
Sweet that is pretty cool. I waited 2.5 years for my Model 3 so I have some experience with Tesla patience lol. Bottom line would not touch another car so patience is key for me.
Thank you for your help. If I can get around 200 miles on a charge for a trip, going around 75mph in average weather conditions (i live in the PNW) then I should be good with the 75D. I have quite a few super chargers around 40 miles apart from each other. The problem with the P100D with 22"...
Very timely thread for me. Thanks for all the observations. I have a new 75D to be picked up in Mid June. I stumbled upon a high mileage late 2016 P100D and have been scratching my head as to what the better option is. With the new car I get all the new components and build quality with the 2016...
This is one of the more useful threads IMO. Anyone know if the seals on the FWD's are better in the newer versions? I know even the mid 2017 model X's had issues with leakage issues due to the seals and it takes months to get the parts even under warranty. That would be a biggie IMO.
I heard that the bolstering on the captain chairs at the back of the 6 seater is better now which means the person sitting in the captain chairs feels more secure.
Also not to forget the recent graphite trim recently introduced.
