Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
When I first purchased my MS 75D in 2017, I avg about 330wh/mi, lead footed. The last 500 miles (at speed limits) I have avg 272wh/mi driving 40C/60H and I have 21" tires. But it's not as fun to drive the speed limit, lol.
My car was rated at 259 (MS 75D 2017) BUT I installed the 21" wheels so I was getting about 249ish NEW. Now 2 years and 21k miles I'm getting about 245 avg, so that is about 1.6% loss or 98.4% . I charge at work 90% of the time at 32amp 208V.
I've also noticed if I drive normal, I avg 280w/mile...
One thing i wanted to note is that after they first upgraded me to HW3, they tried to update my software to V10 and was not able to do so. I think it was because I had MCU1, therefore they called me in to replace it to HW2.5 and then they installed V10 with no problems.
I would be hopeful but if they replaced my HW3 to install HW2.5, I don't think they will upgrade me again to HW3 and my MCU1 to MCU2 without lots of $$$$.
They first installed HW3.0 and then called me a few days after to say they need to replace it with (yes) HW2.5 as HW3.0 will not work properly with my MCU1. They replaced it with HW2.5 as I have AP2.5 (Sept 2017) and updated my software to V10, and now it all works well.
I just got my car back and they removed the HW3.0 and installed HW2.5 and V10 update. Now I see a great difference in Autopilot, the details are awesome on the screen and the system work great.
I just got my computer upgraded to HW3 last week and they called me yesterday to say that it was a "mistake" and I have to bring my car back to DOWN GRADE TO HW2.5???????????????????
I have a Sept 2017 MS 75D and paid for FSD. Should I let them DOWN grade me???????????????

I've visited many dealerships and most of the employees don't know much about what they are selling. Unfortunetly i had the same experience at the Tesla site, but I was able to assist them with their customers many times when I visited them, lol.
I'm having touchscreen problems when I try to type in the google search window and have to wait up to a minute for a response to my touch. Is this something with the lastest update, does anyone know or have this issue?
I think the 21" wheels make a big difference as in the winter I'm at 360wh/mi and summer about 300wh/mi. Some times if I'm cruising slow I can get it down to about 260wh/mi for a short time.
My front suspension has been making noise when I go over little bumps, but you can only hear it at low speeds (radio off) and it's getting worst now that my car is a year old. I also noticed that my driver side mirror is shaking when I hit bumps, time to visit the SC, this will take weeks to...
I had Esurance and switched as they quoted me almost 2x for my MS 2017, 75D per year. Now I just renewed after 6 months and the price went down a little, so I'm very satified with Ameriprise.
Congratulations on your new car, and I'm happy to hear everything went well. These cars are truly amazing and I love driving it with confidence, enjoy your experiences with it.
I feel your pain, I had paint issues and they had my car for a total of 3 weeks out of 9 weeks from the time I picked it up from the factory. That's 33% of the time at the SC, but it's back and I do love driving this car!!!
I installed a 14-50 outlet with a 50amp breaker in my house (I have a 200amp main) and would get about 29 to 31m/hr of charger which is very good overall. The install was only $325 with everything. See attached picture.
