Did anyone else lose connectivity today? 2016.5 mcu 2 upgrade, lte shows bars but not loading anything. Los Angeles.

I have this problem too. Old thread but does anyone know of current cost with tesla for repair and/or cheap diy solution? I have scotch tape holding it in place for now.

Update—done today, that was great, saved me over $1000 vs Tesla which is literally walking distance from SW.

SW is down the street so I stopped by, they helped me purchase a used headlight and SW will install it. I’m gonna roll the dice to see if this holds me over for a few years. If it fails, I’ll go with their custom solution. They showed me a pile of dead led strips they’ve pulled from other S’s...

Update: went through a touch-less car wash, noise greatly reduced. Will check again tomorrow morning. Also meant to mention there are no creaks over speed bumps, solely just from driving slow.

I recently noticed a creaking noise at low speeds, but only when driving straight. No issues when turning. Seems more prominent when I’m going uphill. Is this the control arm? Am I ok to keep driving? Service booked two weeks out. S75 2016 refresh.

Does anyone offer an extended battery/drive unit warranty after my 8 years are up? I just don’t want to give up my sunroof and buy a new S, but a $10K repair is not something I’m comfortable risking.

After every carwash, my driver door handle stops presenting on touch. After a couple of days it works again, I’m assuming could be after water dries out (?) Does anyone have any theories or a prior similar experience?

Same. Mcu2 upgrade in case that’s the common denominator.

It seems like they pushed some minimum viable patch, hope they do a proper fix but meantime glad i got the update. Now if they can bring back my damn heated seats…

After v11 spotify cover art is often missing in the IC. It’s a minor gripe but adds to my list of annoyances for v11.

I had this on a replaced handle and out of nowhere it finally started opening on light touch today. Just wanted to give others hope.

Does anyone know what the function of this round cap under the door is? I’m missing one of those in my front door and I’m trying to figure out if worth the hassle of going to service to have them add one.

Just got MCU2 upgrade and noticed IC is darker than MCU. Brightness adjustment works for both, but MCU is definitely brighter. Does everyone have the same issue? Most prominent at night. Or is it in my head since MCU has more white font/icon?

RESOLVED: they forgot to take off film

Just got mcu2 upgrade and noticed my polarized sunglasses causing rainbow effect on screen. Is this normal for mcu2 screen or did they forgot film protector?

That’s a good approach but I still want to see my recent stations so I can quickly switch through them.

Has anyone found a way to bypass this quirk? When you have no music favorites there’s a blank space like in this pic, and when you press it the space disappears and just shows recent. It’s minor but it bugs me.

I decided to check the box that it was done outside of Tesla, then uploaded my Tesla Service invoice and wrote a comment describing the situation. Let’s see if that works.

I emailed my SA to see if an MCU repair I paid out of pocket for in my prior 2013 S would qualify for reimbursement. And now we wait...
