Also getting 2021.36.5.2
Was received while not on WiFi.
Wow, that was fast Tesla. It is truly amazing the speed with which they work. Can't wait to try this out after work today. Have fun guys.
My car said it was downloading 36.5.1 and then didnt install it. Says SW is up to date on 10.3, but neither autopilot or cruise control will turn on right now.
Same issue here. Just got FSD beta today for the first time. Went for one drive to the store with it and now it's downgrading from 2021.36.5.2 to 2021.36.5.1. I hope they are not kickingme out! I drove safe! :)
Screen shows autopilot computer = 2.5 computer. But i would like the faster screen too. Is that a separate charge or does it come with the fsd computer upgrade?
Thx in advance.
I am a bit confused reading this thread. Could someone please clarify the following for me?...
I have a 2017MS with FSD paid for. I scheduled a service appt to get FSD computer installed. The tech texted me with this note:
"Hi, its Tesla Service. You will need to purchase both the MCU upgrade...
I want to be "that guy"! If I didnt already own an S I would buy one. Definitely the tri motor version... I would love dusting the typical OEM truckscat stoplights while towing a 10k trailer! Lol.
Service from 2017 to present day has become much more difficult. The ranger service is great but getting an appt takes muchlonger now. Getting into a SC is very slow... Could be a month out, but they have always done a great job on my car. The worst case would be body work. I was rear ended last...
Went out of town Friday, the downward pointing yellow arrow appeared at the top of the screen in my 17Model S. Could not find wifi while out of town. I get home today... yellow arrow is gone and I'm now on wifi with full bars but no SW download. Anyone else see this? Did they stop rolling out V10?
I have been having a lot of autopilot restarts... during driving it shuts off and says unavailable.... since last software update. Is this a known mcu issue? I an 4k miles from end of warranty on 2017 MS.
Thanks.
I really hope when the pack on my 2017 MS finally needs replacing , I can put an upgraded battery in the car. Any thoughts on feasibility for future pack replacements?
I noticed that sound on my 2017 S 75D. Only heard it during this past Michigan winter with cold temps. Now, nada. Also, only heard under full accel.
Would like to know what you find as well, thx!
If you're concerned with cO2, get a bev and solar. Almost all emissions are from mfg only. Then, think how long that car will last if it's built out of aluminum... :)
I just took a trip to Texas... when they say everything is bigger in Texas that applies to the distance between charges too! Get plugshare for sure if you are going off the supercharger network like I was (took a trip to big bend national park). You will need to charge on a level 2 for sure so...
Electric Joe, I am very interested to know why you would want to sell your model S for a 3? The S has the upper hand in a few areas... what are you after with the switch? Thanks for sharing.
Wow, I'm impressed!
There is no other way to start this thread. We just received a few inches of snow here in Michigan and I have to say, the S handles better then I ever thought it would in the snow. FYI, I'm in a 75D with stock 19's and all-season tires.
My favorite driving characteristics...
That last bullet point sure would give me peace of mind.. would love if tesla offered such a feature. Simply record a rolling 30 second window and upload the 15 seconds before and after the "event". I'd pay good money for that feature, especially if it was accompanied by sensor data. :)
Also of note, there are two chargers on your way North, in downtown Dearborn, that are free. One in the local parking structure next to "La Fork" (1 spot, 22mi/hr level II) and another at the local Amtrac station parking lot (3 spots, 22mi/hr level II). Hope this is helpful if you need it.
Talk to your friends who are buying Teslas and ask them about quality... if you want the REAL story. Sounds like Trump (fake) news to me. My car didn't have any of the mentioned defects... and frankly, it looks sweet and drives utterly amazing!
I'll bet mongo is correct. They had a pile of dirt there next to the backhoe and a cement breaker attachment next to it. This may be the first step for the Livonia location to install the final components and get this thing operational. :)
Has any one speculated on the battery chemistry for the 200kWh next gen roadster pack? It's a pretty small car and 200kWh of Lithium-ion cells is heavy and takes up a large volume. This must be a new batt chem correct?
Oh, that's not going to be pretty. probably 2x what the P100DL is. Of course, if your purchasing a next gen roadster you will not give a shitake mushroom!
Ok, may I please have a massive super capacitor upgrade to my current battery, super fast charging, and upgraded motors to put out 1000hp please? I'd like to go zero to sixty in about 2 seconds too!
This is always the case with relatively new companies that are going through a very fast growth period. Hold on to your stock if your in it for the long term. Tesla is holding all of the right disruptive cards this time...
I read quite a few opinions from skeptics on this forum. My opinion is that FSD is definitely the way of the future AND is just around the corner (translates to "count the years on one hand"), probably much faster. I am seriously thinking about putting the money down for the feature if for no...
Battery degradation seems to follow an exponentially decreasing curve, not linear! So, you should expect the fastest rate of degradation during the first period of your ownership. That does not mean, however, that the degradation is large, it just happens at it's fastest rate during that time...
