Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
So I just noticed the app now shows the month gas averages for Michigan (assuming that's what op found in Sept.), however it is grossly inflated if considering that the Model 3 would take 87 octane like a normal sedan. Current average is $3.31 but Tesla is saying 25% more at $4.25. Sauce

Thank you for the update and it's a bummer you have to choose to not use Beta because of this. I think this is a major flaw in either SW or HW that Tesla needs to look into, but the local techs are told to write off anything related as a Beta issue that may get resolved in a future update. In my...
@VanFriscia @lascavarian @TresLA Are you still experiencing this issue? Was it resolved with a hardware swap? Are you now back in the beta program after your hardware swap? Has it gone away with software updates?
I am having this issue on 10.10.2 and my FSD computer was replaced in January, took...
Sorry to raise the dead.
Imagine getting a new phone and having to purchase all your apps again.
Imagine buying a new laptop and having to purchase all of your software again.
Imagine buying a new computer on wheels and having to purchase all of your software again.
I really hope Tesla...
Probably half of the Tesla's I encounter here in Michigan have dark window tint, so even though I attempt a quick wave of hello, I cannot see if they reciprocate it.
Whatever is leaking though will eventually stop leaking, because there isn't an infinite amount of this liquid in his vehicle. Hopefully it can be repeated or traced!
Sure but I figured the seat belt was stitched into the seat support on Tesla's floor, where all of the outsourced parts come together. I could be mistaken.
Different issue with mine, but same aspect- The middle seat buckle (the female side) on my car was buried under the seat upon delivery. I had to schedule a service appointment for them to pass it through the hole so it can be used.
Typically in the "regular" automotive industry (I know, Tesla is not a "regular" OEM), once the robotic lines can be brought in and installed into a plant, there is at least a month or two before any finished product rolls of the line (assuming completely assembled within said facility) because...
I agree, I prefer it to be chrome and the ability to change it to anything else. Like you said, you can't go from black to chrome with a wrap unless you want it to look hideous.
Perhaps. I don't think that is all it is. Note in the TSB, if the resistance is over a certain value, the tech has to elevate the issue to engineering. Perhaps the folks who have tightened their cables, got it within that resistance value by doing so.
Someone else just shared that there is a TSB about this, which includes instructions on how to replace the rear ground strap, that it takes about 30 minutes for Tesla to do and the new ground wire is braided instead of solid.

This was very similar to mine. I think mine was slightly louder, but hard to say not being in your car hearing it firsthand.
Mine happened around 42mph and between 48-50mph while maintaining speed on a flat road (0% grade), so very similar.
Though I wish I was still a member of the positive service experience club, I find it ironic the amount of people complaining about people complaining.
I'm not in Boston and I have been nice up until they turned me away to correct a blatantly obvious problem and claimed it was normal.
It took 3 service appointments for them to agree to fix the problem, which themselves even concluded "noticeably helped".
Just because some of us are cranky about...
That's the thing, you shouldn't have to compare. It shouldn't be a battle. They should just have good service.
The fact that a phone number to a human doesn't exist is just the first major issue of many of how the company's service operates poorly.
I love Tesla. I am a shareholder and early...
Interesting. My issue only occurred while coasting, which requires feathering the accelerator pedal in our cars. Could hear it while the car was barely regenning or slightly under load. Sometimes it almost sounded like Morse Code, hard stops to the sound and immediately hear it again like...
No labor hours on the invoice, however I was frequently checking my app to see if it was being worked on. It went into service mode some time around 9am yesterday morning and service was completed around 2:30pm the same day.
My results are in...
After service stated the ground strap issue doesn't apply to my vehicle, they swapped it out as a "goodwill gesture" under warranty. Here is what the invoice stated:
"Test drove vehicle and found that there was a noise coming from the rear. It is normal to hear some noise...
I agree with this. The tech that went for a ride with me was from out-of-state. I believe he said Pittsburgh, but I don't remember exactly. He said he was brought over to help get things moving since a lot of people are scheduling service now after waiting during the spring months due to the...
I still haven't heard from the SC but my app now shows an estimated completion date of 9/4 at noon, which is 3 days from now.
It seems they are waiting for part(s), since according to my app, my car hasn't moved from the parking lot since Friday.
Meanwhile I am driving a 2015 Model S P90D loaner...
They still have my car. Current status is, "The ground strap replacement doesn't apply to you vehicle. Multiple techs will be driving the vehicle to duplicate and if it is abnormal to them they will escalate the noise concern to engineering and we will base any repairs off of their conclusion."...
So they have my car. At first the tech that rode with me started giving me the "oh this sound is normal" garbage. After mentioning the ground strap and that coworkers cars with similar mileage do not exhibit this sound, his tune changed.
Sounds like they're at least going to check out the...
Awesome information, everyone. I will keep this information in my pocket for my appointment at 11am today (in 70 minutes).
@camalaio how long did it take you to do this, was it accessible from inside the car or under/outside the car?
Based on this description of your family, your car and the roof box, I had to double check that this youtuber wasn't you... lol. Great videos by the way, I recommend starting with the first episode. :)
Agreed. So far you're the only person who has had it corrected without replacing the motor. So hopefully this also corrects my issue and like you said, maybe I can pay them to change the ground cable which would certainly be much less costly than replacing the motor.
Yes, that looks like the perforation of where the airbag will pop out of. Some early Model 3's also have this line visible on the steering wheel, from top to bottom around the Tesla T logo on one side.
