Hi. The referral program has MS all weather mats as one of the options. Unfortunately the description says that they are for 2021+. Has anyone tried these in an older MS? I have a 2013 and wanted to see how closely they would fit.
Thanks.
I genuinely don’t think that this is some master plan that Tesla is executing. But rather what’s happening is that with each software update some of the tolerances are getting smaller as a relates to the battery and battery health. As a result more things are popping up as faults and causing the...
Congrats. I’m hearing of more and more people opting for the Reman 85 and getting a brand new 90 with no software limitations. Same happened to me in November and so far the range and charge rate have been excellent. Now I have a 10 year old P85 with a brand new battery. The great thing now is...
So other than possibly dripping goo, is there any down side to not replacing or fixing the bubbled instrument cluster?
Eventually the entire screen will have to liquid left on it.
So based on my discussions with tesla remote techs there are error codes that the system logs in the background but these errors have to be frequent enough to show up as a notification that you can see on the MCU. If tesla allowed you to see these there may be many false positive error codes but...
See if they will give you a brand new 90 kWh battery. Just had this done on mine. Others are reporting that tesla no longer had reman 85s left so they were upgraded to a brand new 90 at no extra cost
My air suspension flattened out when my HV battery died. I tried everything to raise it but even after a month of trickle charging I couldn’t get the system to work. There’s no shrader valve so you can’t just pump it up manually either.
Good to know that JRgo didn’t part out the car, although...
When I bought my 2013 P 85 under CPO Tesla did a great job to bring it back as close as possible to the Monroney sticker specs. They fixed a small ding with PDR and replaced a bunch of interior trim pieces that were over worn. They also put stock rims back on since the owner put aftermarkets on...
P85+ is a variant of P85 with offset rear tires. There may also be some suspension differences. They were only available for a limited number of years early on.
Years ago I ordered oem snow tires for my 2013 P85 but since the new snows had a different Tpms from my original wheels tesla did...
My first battery pack failure was replaced under warranty with a reman. I think that either they don’t have any more 85s or they realized that the remans were failing also and now just swap with new 90s.
My reman pack started to fail earlier this year and I did the same as you. I just kept...
Tesla quoted $18k as a trade in but I’m not sure if that was as is or assuming that the car ran.
Somehow tesla was willing to do the battery swap at no cost. Maybe because the reman battery failed in 2.5 years. Otherwise it would cost $15k.
Update. Has the battery replaced by tesla. Instead of an 85 they replaced it with a brand new 90 kWh. Charged to 80% and based on that the full charge would give a 290 mile range which means that it’s not software limited down to what am 85 would have given.
The swap took two days although it...
I got a quote for my battery replacement on my 2013 P85 and it too has the 90kwh-C pack. The invoice also has a bunch of hardware listed which I assume are suspension parts. RR upper link assy.
Hi. Still working through options but there may be a silver lining. Won’t know for sure till late November.
In the meantime I put a booster pack on the jump terminals and got the mcu running. Then wife kids and I put the car in tow mode and pushed it up the driveway so that I could put a...
@tallypwner
I'm going through the same issues as you. Its not looking good.
You can see the codes I have on this thread
https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/2013-ms-battery-failure.281561/
If Tesla does a swap (even for a reman battery) you will get 4 year/50K mile warranty so that's...
Let me know if you hear otherwise from EG. initially they were going to to a diagnostic but then reached out to me to tell me they can’t do it. It’s was good of them so I didn’t have to spend the money to ship the car and back.
I also heard from Brian (the gentle giant on their YouTube...
Thanks. Can I ask what your thought process was for doing the battery swap. I live my car and want to keep driving it but that’s a lot to spend, although the 4 year warranty does give a lot of piece of mind. Did you consider third party shops or even just selling it as is?
My 2013 P85 had error codes and wouldn’t drive back in Feb 2022. This seemed to happen on really cold days. But she would start up as the temp warmed up. She drive fine all summer and then last week she stopped working again.
I’ve read conflicting things about software updates causing issues...
So I got the dreaded BMS and GTW error codes on Wednesday. See pic.
Tesla had originally replaced the HV battery in 2019 while still under warranty. I actually thought this was good since it happened towards the latter part of the warranty and I would have a new (reman) battery to carry me...
Hi. Do you know which fuse box had the loose wire. Was It the one on top of the 12v battery or one of the fuse boxes that has the smaller fuses in it. I started to have HV battery issues after a 12v replacement. Could be a coincidence but feels connected. I’d hate to think a tech left a loose...
Wow, that video is very revealing. I just watched a Gruber video that talked about a broken DU mount on the rear subframe. I wonder if that is the issue. Thanks for the update.
Had my HP battery fail in 2019 (car is a 2013). No warning, just stooped working, although the 12V did work so I could open the doors and windows. Took about a monthly for the swap. I think that Tesla gave me a refurb battery (under warranty at the time) and software limited it to give me the...
Hi, has anyone done a DIY replacement/repair on their Blend Door Actuator. I've been getting a clicking sound for some time and inconsistent HVAC. If so how hard was it/how much time did it take (links if you have any you tube references). Thanks.
