I have the same feeling. I have one referral in this round, which is an inventory car. I had three in the last round, all of which were inventory cars. Last year I got 20 referrals in half a year, only a few of which were inventory cars. Something feels odd about this pattern.

My MyTesla-page is also showing two referrals, which is suspiciously low from a historical point of view. I asked a Tesla employee to verify this and he saw two as well.

It's not entirely impossible. In fact, all referrals I have gotten this round so far have been for inventory or demo cars, which means that they haven't been placed through the design studio, but manually through a Tesla salesperson.

My experience is that you'll see the number increase when they've received and processed the deposit. That is, before the order is confirmed and the deposit would be forfeited if the order is cancelled. When paying with card this is usually pretty quick.

I can confirm this as well. My referral count also went to six then back to one when I got my first new referral. I e-mailed Tesla about it and they called me up and confirmed on the phone that it's a completely new referral program, and you can win all the prizes all over again.
