I've had issues with my replacement spoiler. I had to take it off and I'm trying to remount it one last time before I tell the seller I want to return it. I did take the opportunity to remove the promoter. It wasnt a big deal to remove with GooGone, but I can't say I had any run off issue...

Contact the seller. They will want some pictures before the send you a new one. I got my replacement in 7 days after they acknowledge it was imperfect.

Argh, that IS annoying. I also used the 'adhesion promoter'. I initially thought the same thing about it being an alcohol swab, but noticed it was tacky. I guess it some sort of glue, and thought nothing of it when i liberally wiped it on the car.

I only used the 3m tape they provided. I did cut additional vertical strips to place in between the gaps to ensure maximum support. I didn't use glue in case I ever wanted to remove it and didnt want to deal with the headaches.

Sorry, if this was already mentioned, but what about a lock option on the console so no accidental friends/valet opening and closing it. At least it would minimize using it unless you really have no more space for that duffle bag that must be placed in the frunk (assuming you have a D option).

I installed mine this weekend. Use the jump method. Not concerned about the hanging cable and its definitely not visible when I'm driving which is the most important thing for me. Thanks to all the posts on the subject. It definitely helped make the install easier.
