i saw a video on it and there wasnt that much difference except for the wind noise which was less and db number a bit lower. The issue is that the really annoying model 3 noise is the tire noise getting transmitted through the chassis. and that is megaannoying. The wind noise doesnt matter that...

when did tesla start using the matrix lights? gonna have a bit of a look on ebay and see if theres anything cheap to snatch. for <300usd i may be tempted.

i just seem to recall that there were people fitting the lights and couldnt get them to work and tesla wasnt of much help saying the wireness harness wasnt compatible. but maybe im wrong. i just remember it wasnt straight forward. or maybe i confused it with the steering wheel retrofit.

so the whole new harness required is irrelevant. Just install new headlights and beg tesla to set the "matrix headlight" setting to "on" on your car?

Australia is weird because they have similar regulations to europe but generally dont enforce anything except for exceeding the speed limit - and they do so very strictly. no such thing as like driving 150 in a 110 like in the uk etc... People drive similar to the USA i.e. lanehog, swerve, play...

sorry i am a bit out of touch with this thread. I thought retrofitting wasnt possible because the wirering hardness had to be replaced? did you upgrade the wireing harness? if so, is that just the harness coming from the front of the car or is this a major upgrade which is a) expensive and b)...

in usa probably not an issue. In europe... dont even think about it. In Australia likely illegal but noone cares about anything here as long as you arent exceeding the speed limit. everything else goes.

excessive lowering is obviously unsafe for you and other drivers but i might add here that model 3 has a VERY high rideheight and even if you lower it by 2.5 cm or so (like an inch) you are still higher than stock BMW and would easily pass a european inspection with that....

thats normal. means the battery isnt calibrated and you have to wait to the next battery calibration. If it charges to 80% but then compares itself to the voltage table and jumps to 83% the car presumes you have more range than you actually do. I would just keep driving, eventually the car will...

i dont think in automatics it matters much but in manuals you definetly want the indicator stalk on the left in a LHD and on the right in a RHD so you can shift gears and indicate in a roundabout at the same time...

if you do deep(er) discharges routinely it may not calibrate. if you charge to 100% and the car checks the pack voltage and its equivalent to 4.2V then no calibration is needed.

might be routing you via supercharger if you got automatic supercharger stops activated and arrive with sub 20% at home. Maybe just switch automatic supercharger routing off.

the ac compressor comes on as it is air conditioning, not heating or cooling. The car also cannot reliably set the air conditioner to the temperature you set inside the cabin. This depends on the humidty of the air. humid air will have to be frozen, dried and then heated back up.

Temperature definetly affects the BMS/estimated capacity. Especially when people drive short journeys. Temperature affects resting voltage which the BMS uses to compare the voltage to the internal range table.... when I used to live in the tropics I never really had range fluctuations but once...

the vast majority on the NCA 78.8kwh battery drop to 70kwh very quickly and 67-68kwh is completely normal after 30k miles.

ironically its not really needed in heat pump cars. the only way to get it on older cars is to use a canbus server and i.e. link that up to one of the seat heaters. retrofit isnt possible as such as the wireing harness is different

oh i dont know about the more modern cars. there is technically a hidden buffer. maybe read it out with teslafi. My car sits most of the time at 50% or less but my old battery was just crap. there is pretty good evidence battery lottery is more important than anything else.

Still years later on a mission to erradicate little bass rattles. Doors are dynamated and i have felttaped a lot of the wires. I have this newish idea to take the front door speakers out and stuff the space behind with acoustic foam. There is presumably no wateringress behind from the window...

may take some time? The old 310 miles cars do have a hidden buffer, I think 100% range is at 74kwh but the car starts with 78.8kwh so you need to get some degradation before your 100% range actually goes down....
