I am also totally mindblown over this historic day for Tesla. I really think the future looks super bright. These numbers should simply mean close to guaranteed succes. And the bear argument about demand proven worthless. What i can`t comprehend is the lack of price action. Numbers alone should...

I'm headed to one of the Oslo stores right now with my father. Don't know if there will be lines. Will report. We are ordering 2 Model 3's. Loads of people will order, but most will order at reveal/few days after.

I would score a lot of points here in Norway then:) today I saw 4 Model S in random parking spot. They're all over the place! Still no Model X though, but they'll be plenty.. My guess is Model 3 will be the most sold car for years to come:)

With all this negative sentiment, cant help but look forward to the Model 3 presentation in march. I think preorders might surprise the automotive world. When can we expect to get a glimpse on preorder numbers? I'm hoping at the Q1 conference call in may. Any thoughts?

Oil price is a concern. But I have a feeling Tesla might be lucky with timing; In 2017 the oil price might be a lot higher due to the production decrease that cheap oil will bring along..

Yeah, this was also my assumption. Another reason for a strong June is that people were afraid of a removal of incentives from 1. July( that didn't happen) so many of June deliveries were ordered in October after D announcement. (+Currency situation)

The above is correct. June sales will be about 1000 model s I reckon. Also in the news from Norway: two biggest cities might abolish gasoline cars within inner city limits.

I am aware of the fact that other EV's simply aren't capable of charging at superchargers. Just trying to figure out if it is correct that Tesla aren't allowed to build them. Anyone with insight who can clarify?

About Spain, is Tesla really not allowed to install superchargers because they are only for Teslas? That is new to me and if true, terrible news. Do you have a link or more info on this?

Based on previous quarters my guess Is deliveries in norway are a lot higher the last two months of the quarter.

I think numbers are looking good. Seems sales are picking up across the continent. Isn't the first month of quarters usually lot slower than last two? For Norway i think numbers will be substantially higher in May and June.

I think you're right the canopy will have solar. Looks identical to similar station in Denmark. In my opinion I think that cabinet is a battery. Other more "simple" supercharger stations in Europe don't have any cabinet like that, and this looks like the one in Denmark which also has a battery.

Yeah those are batteries, and the roof, yes, is solar. Identical with other solar canopy superchargers:)

Positive news from Norway: European lawmakers(EFTA surveillance authority) has approved sales tax exemption also from leasing of EV 's. State and municipal companies are already planning their EV fleets. This is very good news. Expect stronger Tesla fleet sales in Norway!

Yeah. We reached 50 k and no surprise it was a Tesla:) Background on this is government were to evaluate EV incentives after 50 000 vehicles. But sentiment is strong for continued incentives through 2017, which is next election year. So no tax on EV's until then:) So Tesla sales will continue...

Hi folks. I've been in a discussion on Twitter about UK superchargers not being able to support high charging at more than one stall at a time. Any truth in this ?

Looking at the future and trying to foresee the battery packs from today's platform I guesstimate these packages: Model S: 70, 85 and 100 kwh. Model X: 85 and 100 kwh. (Not 70 because of weight/aero.) Model 3: 50 and 70 kwh. (250/300 mile EPA)

Here in Norway Tesla can expect a HUGE increase in demand. First, most people don't even know you can get a "normal" model S with AWD. All the attention was directed at the P85D. With this announcement people will be aware of the cheaper option. Already hit the news..and normal 85D didn't even...

My guess is Model 3 will be delivered with 50 and 70 kwh. This way they get to test the latter in model s/x. Expect 90 or 100 kwh with launch of model x, and with S prior to this.

1140 Norway march number: (Nesten) 1500 nye Model S registrert i Mars!

Final march number for Norway reported to be 1140 Model S. This makes the Model S number one sold EV in March. For Q1 as well I think. "Normal" Dual engine only started delivering 13th of March, so expect good numbers in Q2.

Yeah. Probably right assumption. Given 2018 is first year of VAT, it will not reach 25% until a few years later. Model 3 obviously will be success anyhow. Just the scale of it that might vary.

Not unlikely. But Model 3 needs to come online 2017, if not huge setback if VAT added in 2018. I think loads of people will want to buy a Model 3. Model S already rated the "future" and "awesome" car. Most people I talk to want one. And already two Model S owners in my extended family. Huge...

Actually it says VAT exemption will last through 2017, until 2018. This could mean people can buy their Model 3 without tax :) very good news. Sales of Model 3 will be off the charts if it comes on sale in 2017!

No hard stop. Negotiations at being held at the moment. Most probable outcome is still strong/same incentives next couple of years. My guess is we will see sales tax added gradually from 2017 and be 10% by 2020. (Normal rate is 25%)

Now over 1000 in Norway for March. Supposedly as of friday 27th. Three more days of deliveries :)

i think you have to move the timeframe according to the Gigafactory being ahead of schedule. Reports have mentioned the factory finishing first part of construction in fall of 2015, with installment of equipment into early 2016. Production of first cells 2016.

Seems March numbers have been updated: now at 693 Model S, with more to come in next days.
