FWIW, it was definitely just a protective plastic that probably should have been removed by the DS. If it weren't for the bubbles though I would probably never have noticed it being there.

Yes, Supercharging would be one reason. The other reason would be that the old 85 has an actual frunk that can be used to store luggage, while the new S75 barely has room for a chademo adapter. On the other hand, my S85 has no auto pilot of any kind.... Decisions, decisions...

No, EVTripPlanner gives different numbers for 75D and 75, the 75D is more efficient than the 75, but not as huge a difference as between the S85 and S75.

So it is possible then that charging is slightly more efficient on the S75, possibly due to higher amperage charger or different battery chemistry, so what could explain part of the difference in the EPA number. Makes sense.
