Tesla technician said the headlights are normal and he wouldn’t change a thing.😡😡😡 I don’t know how it is acceptable to have square blocks of dead spots. I will try to adjust the throw further to see if that will improve things.

Wouldn’t that be blinding for the oncoming traffic? They are already adjusted to a distance that I feel is far enough. They would have to shine a lot further to converge.

I had tried many times, but they won't align and they stay like that. Other than having areas not illuminated, they are also not as bright as my 3.5-years-old model 3. If this is normal they are much worse than my old model 3.

My situations is similar to the guy who did the analysis above, so I will keep my RWD order. When the updated Y is announced I may consider getting another Y, is long range if it comes out with a better battery.

I am still not sure of the value of the LR. $13k extra for not that much of a gain in range. I know there is the extra motor and extra power, which I don’t really care about in an SUV like model Y. Most other manipulators include other extra equipments in their more expensive models, but not Tesla.

I always thought I wanted a LR, now I am not sure if it is justified to spend another $13k to get extra 70 or 80km of range. I don’t care about the acceleration or AWD.

Whilst I find the suspension of my M3 SR a bit too harsh, and noisy over bumps, it’s not a dealbreaker as I still went ahead and order an Y. I am guessing the newer more compliant suspension still thumps over bigger bumps?

I assume you meant 2022. If that is the case that’s good. How did you know that they all come with the new suspension now? I test drove one a month or so ago and it was ok, no worse than my US built M3 SR+, although I didn’t really drive over any bad road.

I have ordered a RWD Y, do they come with floor mats? Looking at ordering some accessories. I will need a sunshade for the roof, a boot liner, and floor mats if they don’t come standard.

I got mine replaced by Tesla free of charge. There is one negative though, my boot lid trim is now loose. I think the tel he technician broke the trim clip.

The glass roof is just dumb. It’s much hotter than even a black steel roof. I have tinted mine with ceramic film and I don’t think it helps much, if at all. The shade does help. I would much rather have a steel roof.

Which is why I have not bought another Tesla. I have a model 3 SR, and I wish I had bought a LR. The model Y RWD has even less range than the equivalent model 3, and I don’t see the point of spending more to get a family car that goes from 0-100 in 4s.

The service centre has ordered a front upper control arm assembly, only for the right, not for the left. Asked them to drive the car and check if the noise is from both sides, was told they were too busy to do that ☹️. Will see if that fixes it.
