Forgive my ignorance, but is the white box the transformer? Looks like a Supercharger cabinet to me, I thought transformers are lower to the ground, typically painted green, and have cooling fins on them? Thanks for the pics!

Drove through Trancas Market and all nearby parking lots today, no sign of any construction anywhere

Anyone know if the South Pasadena Police Department’s new Tesla Model Ys will be allowed to charge here? Would be cool to see, but may cause more undue congestion.

Plug him in, the idle fees will start accruing. No need to unlock the car to plug it in, just use the button on the cable on that stall or an adjacent one to command the charge port to open, then plug it in.

As long as they wait in the same line as everyone else, what’s the harm? More business for Tesla.

Went by today, all stalls ICE’d, seemingly no power, but everything looks done.

Thread title has wrong year!

Sunday 9:07pm, all 6 stalls full, 14 cars in line, 3 cars have arrived and promptly turned around and left

One big issue with this Supercharger, as mentioned a few times throughout this thread, is that when all 6 stalls are fully utilized, which they are 24/7, the cabinet load shares everyone to 50 kW max, making the wait even longer for all parties involved.

So there are four (4) new Supercharger sites currently (May 2023) under construction in San Mateo?

Consistently 7-10 cars in line at any given time during the day, on a weekday! 3 cars in line when I went at 1am.

I only counted 8 stalls! Looked around a bit, could only find those + the CCS chargers

Drove by heading west on PCH and you can see the white/red pedestals are up already! Will take pictures later

Always a line for this supercharger, can’t wait for the new 8 V3 stalls! Car show today (Cars and Coffee maybe?) just amplified the problem, with both Tesla and ICE

I did see it! Just in time for us to move to Malibu this week! 6 years of Tesla ownership later, the new GH charger would be less than a mile from our house. To get back on topic, anyone have any guesses where this new V3 Malibu charger will go?

New sign at this supercharger says “8 V3 Stalls Coming Soon, Malibu, CA” Will post a pic of it tomorrow! Wonder where they’ll go...
