The "red light in the bottom of the door" is typically called a Puddle Light, so you can see the puddle your about to step into when opening the door!, also creates a puddle of light for your exit?

The real question here is weather cabling will be installed for the liftgate actuator as standard, and weather retrofitting would be possible from a salvage unit #PlanningAhead
