Here is Tesla’s answer to your question: ”We recommend prior but if you will do it at the time of delivery we recommend to connect your bank account to the plaid system so at the time of delivery you can just click pay”

One can select to "Pay" within 48 hours of your delivery date. I know this does not specifically answer your question. I pick up our car tomorrow. I will ask and try to remember to get back to you.
