Agreed - it's dangerous. I once had to use the horn while making a U-turn (with the yoke); it was a near-miss accident! Seems Tesla has aligned with the NHTSA that drivers expect the horn to be in the center. They should go a step further and offer a free retrofit option to a wheel or yoke...

Yeah that's what I ended up going with - they really enhance the look of the interior! I was a little nervous about pulling off the panels and doing the wiring myself, so I had a local company (EvMod) install the kit (backed up with a warranty).

The MXP wins hands-down on raw performance though the MYP drives more nimble. The Y's structural battery pack and body castings probably help a lot with chassis rigidity, which is somewhat lacking in the X.

Isn't the Macan EV more comparable to the MYP, at least in terms of size? I'd considered the BMW iX and Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid. Test drove them and was impressed by their cabins and handling - which I felt was actually superior to the X. But I really didn't care for the funky styling...

Agreed - matrix headlights on the Model X provide superior illumination (especially with high beams). But it's no longer the government blocking their full adaptive capabilities ever since they were approved in the US back in 2022. It's the automakers (like Tesla) that are dragging their feet...

According to Tesla, batteries degrade about 12% after 200,00 miles. So not sure how often their capacity will drop below 70% for this coverage to kick in. Of course, YMMV.

I test drove the BMW iX before getting my MXP. While I felt it had better overall handling, I wouldn't say the MX suspension is trash. Ultimately, I chose the MXP for reasons that matter most to me: superior performance, range and tech. (I also couldn't get over the iX's hideous looks!)

Agreed! The yo-yo price adjustments don't seem to be helping with demand for the Model X, if (rising) inventory levels are any indication. The marketshare for $100K+ EVs seems rather small to begin with, and if Tesla isn't careful, they're going to lose that loyal customer base to competitors...
