Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
That got me as well when I first bought mine. It really is a horrible sound! @adc65 is right. I disabled that setting and all has been good ever since.
I was able to chat with them and it was fairly painless to get a replacement. I thought there was a label on the back of the unit that had the password? You may have to unscrew it from the wall, which isn’t too terrible if you have the right hex tool to take it off (I think the hex bit came in...
Nice!!! I think that’s a great plan.
My wife ordered me my MYP for Christmas. She was tired of hearing me talk about it. I got the VIN the same day she ordered it and ended up taking possession in less than a week. Crazy! I had white seats and the tow hitch added (as well as enhanced...
I did the same thing! If I'm being honest with myself, summon is a good trick, but I would probably not use it much. Lane change on Auto Pilot is another story. That is pretty nice especially on longer drives.
I went new. Looked at a few used ones, but ultimately I wanted the 2023 with some of the upgrades it had over the 2022. FSD is cool, but I find Enhanced Auto-Pilot more useful. I did upgrade to that and I use it all the time. Also, if you upgrade to enhanced auto-pilot, FSD drops to only $99...
I was able to chat online with them. Not sure if that's an option in Canada but it was fairly painless. You just had to go through the troubleshooting steps first and then you got the option to chat. Same thing, they are sending me a new unit which I hope shows up this week. Glad I had the...
Yes, I have the same problem. I was reading another thread where they said you have to contact the Service Center and they have to push an update to your car. I haven’t called the service center yet.
I road tripped from Charlotte to Cleveland for Christmas in our new MYP. Got to Cleveland just in time for the winter storm. No issues on the way there as the weather was still in the 40’s. We left to come back to Charlotte yesterday and it was below 10 degrees for the first part of the trip...
I’m a new MYP owner. Anyone know if you can charge at a Service Center? I’m traveling for the holidays and the Service Center is actually closer to where I’m at than a Supercharger. I’m using the mobile charger on a 110 outlet, but not sure that will get it done. Thanks!
TeslaFI is only showing that a few people on this build have gotten updated so far (If I'm reading the chart correctly).
They must not have pushed it yet.

I just got my MYP this past weekend. My first Tesla. So far it’s been awesome (minus the sensor drama). How often do they push the software updates? I think I heard monthly.
I just picked up my MYP this weekend. Same as you I did not find any issues with the car. Everything was in good working order. The only disappointment so far was the lack of the USS in the front. I paid for enhanced autopilot and can’t use half of the features.
Really enjoying it but...
Picked up my Model Y Performance this weekend. California build with no sensors. Kicker is I paid for enhanced autopilot and now I can’t use half of those options.
Will full self driving still work without those sensors?
I got mine yesterday and didn't see that anywhere. I'll have to ask them about it. My brother literally texted me about it as I was driving home from the dealership!
I just got a quote from White Electric for $700. Does that sound like it’s in the ballpark? It was $625 for the install and $75 for a permit. Also, if you have Duke they will pay you up to $1,100 for installing it.
