Thank you. Really hate to part with it, but we just can't justify two Tesla's. Ha ha. And thanks to all at TMC for their courtesy and views. Hope the car finds a good home.

2015 Tesla P85D Better Than New. Spent $135,854, asking $109,920. Only 9800 miles. Buying A Model X For Larger Family Paid $135,854, not counting aftermarket wheel/tires (have receipts). With all the improvements, this car is truly better than new. Has FULL BODY Suntek Paint Armor, 3M...

Coated windshield impacting door openers and EZpass

Thats may be correct. Continuous transmission is unlikely...but they are self powered which probably makes them less dependent on antenna orientation.

P85 with 285s on rear made a bigger than expected difference

Great looking car! Thanks for the pics. What offset did you use on the rear?

    New 20" Wheels & Tires

Dreamin, you car looks great! Thanks for posting the pics. Could you post a couple more shots of the rear tire and wheel well, with the top of the wheel well in view, and perhaps from dead behind so we can see how it fits in the wheel well? What made you select +38? Seems to be about a 50/50...

Proper Offset For 10" Wide Rear Wheels And 285 wide Tires?

For those of you running 10" wide rear wheels (of any diameter really) and 285 wide tires, what offset do you recommend? Guys seem to be running between +32 to +40. I think we all like the wheel well to be filled out some, but we don't want the wheels/tires sticking out beyond flush either...

Jason, thanks for the info, and appreciate very much for the great info on the phone! Nice to deal with someone who really knows his work. Since I'll be running a wider 285/34R20 in the rear, I think I'll go with +38 (unless you think +40 would be better) to move the wheel in a little to be...

Summer Tire replacement - stay with 21", or drop to 19"

http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=57154&stc=1&d=1408678188 AndreyATC, this is absolutely beautiful. You mentioned elsewhere that this is "Im running 20X9 35ET and 20X10 32ET, which makes it a bit more aggressive than your 20s, also more flush with the fenders...

Hi Jason. Calling you soon about doing something similar, probably 580's...wheels and tires. In the meantime, what are the tires and wheel offsets for this car? Do we need different TPMS sensors for these wheels, or can I use the factory ones?

Does Active Air Improve Ride Quality or just adjust the Height?

Yeah, I could definitely see that having air where the roads are bad could be important, particularly up north. The SC here is near Atlanta, where roads are pretty good in comparison, so that might be why they favor coils. Anyone know what the current ride heights are with air with version...

Does Active Air Improve Ride Quality or just adjust the Height?

I just got off the phone with one of the sales guys at our local SC. He said its his opinion that the "difference in ride quality is barely noticeable" and that when he is able to buy his own MS, it will definitely be coil. This is coming from a guy that drives all varieties of the Model...

Does Active Air Improve Ride Quality or just adjust the Height?

Thanks Gene! Good info, which jives with the 200 or so other posts I've read here. I've driven both air and coils as well and felt the difference in the softness of the ride was hardly noticeable, with handling going in favor of coils. There are very few major racing teams that use air...

    Std Coil Spring Lowering Options

Great info guys. Thanks. Is this rear camber issue worse on the air ride suspensions? I would imagine yes, given the ability to go lower. You guys prefer the coils over air?

    Model S Exterior: Paint Armor

Yobigd20, didn't mean to get you all bent out of shape, and I certainly wasn't trying to personally offend you over your or anyone else's choice. Model S Exterior: Paint Armor

If price is no object, I'd just get a new paint job when the damage becomes too obvious. $5000-$7500 for a quality full wrap goes goes a good way towards paying for all new paint! Besides, paint armor will show dings too... I think the factory paint armor takes care of most of what most...

Very well said. Having it done at the factory is THE place to get it done...not after delivery when dirt and other contaminates have attached to your paint.

to those WITHOUT air suspension: do you scrape often, wish you had it?

Thanks for all the great info here. I think with time that we will see more and more people electing for the coil suspension. My Tesla rep said NOT to the buy the air suspension. He said many prefer the coil spring suspension for the reasons many have outlined above, and for those who still...

Should I buy pre-paid service/extended service? Or annual service every 2 years?

Does the rotation include balancing the tires as well? Balance, rotation, alignment (done correctly by a Tesla tech), inspection, free pickup and dropoff, etc. may make a prepaid plan well worth the money and time.
