After a few weeks of dry weather here in Florida, my CT got wet for the first time - - took a couple hours to clean the body - - sort of like a high-maintenance girlfriend.
so far, Weiman's ss cleaner leaves streaks unless you do an entire panel section on CT to get an even look. Kind of tough when all you want to remove are some fingerprints.
Took delivery 3/30/24. Overall really fun but a nightmare keeping fingerprints off the doors when exiting. Unless you push them shut using the windows, you might want to carry a Handy-Wipe. No FSD or lane-assist update yet so it's all hand steering and paying serious attention to both the...
Took CT delivery a week ago. No FSD or Lane Assist. Tech at service center said I'd have it OTA in another week "or so." Can't guarantee his info is accurate but this is what he said. Did get OTA update on 4/6/24 to 2024.8.8 but just bug fixes nd minor enhancements.
Probably because Tesla's non-union and sells direct to consumers, the liberal media and left-wing senators like Blumenthal and Markey are piling on the "rolling stop" issue through sensationalism and letter-writing. Tesla can quick-fix the issue (which has caused no harm) through their cars'...
The NHTSA has been weaponized just like the rest of government. Tesla is non-union, that's why the Federal Tax Credit is $2,500 less than union-produced EV's and that's why the NHTSA will do anything it can to make TSLA look bad. This so-called "recall" with likely be an OTA fix while your...
This is my 4th Tesla and regularly use AP. This was my first ding on my first day using FSD on the Merritt Parkway in Connecticut. This Sunday morning was manually driving Merritt at 8 AM. Some guy cut closely in front of me and sped away. Got dinged again for “following too close”. I think...
I’ve had the same issue: need to make quick 90° turn into my driveway from 30 mph road with someone always tailgating. Got dinged. Then this Sunday morning at 8 am I-95 was nearly empty. Some guy cut in front of me and accelerated away. Probably mad at my driving speed limit. Got dinged again...
Anyone know if the 7 consecutive days of good driving scores is rolling? If on day 3 you hit a run-away shopping cart at Publix does your Safety Score keep averaging until you finally meet the required score or is it "game over"?
On my 4th trip today got a "Unsafe Following" which makes no sense if UF only kicks in at 50 mph. I was using AP anytime I was driving 50 mph or higher. Despite what TSLA says, I think Safety Score is tagging UF below 50 mph -- weird
For me several newly formatted drives worked fine until drives were full, then quit recording. Exchanged several emails with Tesla support and issue seems to lie in software not overwriting oldest recordings so as to only store last few minutes of car’s operation.
Took our new M-3 -- Great range: only 5 charge stops between Boca Raton and NYC. Stayed overnight at Double Tree in Fayetteville, NC. Nice new hotel literally next to I-95. lots of Superchargers operating at a good charge rate. (415 mph). (Some others en route were as low as 270 mph)
Our MX has an excessive buffering issue that TSLA Service says is a known issue on early MX models despite firmware updates. Now we're noticing a lot of internet radio buffering on our M3. This seems unrelated to AT&T's signal strength. Anyone else experiencing excessive buffering while playing...
As Tesla owners my wife and I got lucky and were randomly invited to attend the 3/31/16 Reveal. We rushed into the lobby afterwards and placed our reservation at one of the event's reservation stations. Got confirmation next morning. I've always wondered whether this might move those who...
If Consumer Reports had been published in the 1880's, they would have probably called for a ban on light bulbs after the first fire caused by faulty wiring. "Too much electricity too soon"
My reply to ConsumerReports assertion that AP should be disabled:
"Applying your reasoning to modern aircraft, we'd all be grounded! My wife and I have driven our Model X thousands of miles on Autopilot and love it. While we've found it to work as intended on open highways, what has not been...
Are you leaving the Fob in the car when parked in your garage at night? Our fob quit unexpectedly too but learned from SC that it was because we were leaving the fob in the car when parked in our garage. Fob uses Bluetooth and keeps communicating with the car when it's left inside the parked car...
Took delivery of our Sig X on the 29th and I can echo Cosmacelf's first impressions. Interior and exterior are pure perfection. Traded in our Model S for the X. Only complaint is the sun-visor is a little funky to use. Autopilot is fantastic. Drove from Fremont to Pasadena, 90% on Autopilot.
Following fantastic factory tour, took delivery of our Sig X P90D on 12-29. Delivery team was great. Drove to Pasadena "90%" on Driver Assist. Exterior Sig Red color looks great and interior cabin personifies perfection -- sort of feels like you're in a high-end mini corporate jet. Opted for six...
Anyone have any idea how to get the Model X "merry model x-mas" easter egg posted by (Elon?) on 12/23? Took delivery of our SX last Tuesday and word has it that all X's have this Egg.
Took delivery of Sig # 674 on the 29th at Fremont following fantastic factory tour that's included for buyers taking factory delivery. Drove down to LA on Driver Assist about 90% of the way. Only complaint are the funky sun-visors which have to be continually adjusted when driving into the sun...
Once owned a Volt. It's not a hybrid because the onboard ICE charges the battery just enough to keep the car going. Since power to the wheels is only from battery, the Volt qualifies for the $7,500 federal rebate. If power to wheels comes from either battery or an ICE (like a hybrid) the car...
Have had our MS for 18 months, 14,000 miles. No issues. Interesting that CR also said that despite the issues, 98% of owners were still satisfied and liked the car. Remember in the propulsion system there are a reported 10,000 moving parts in an ICE that can fail, but only 18 in a Tesla.
Same thing happened to me. Order confirmed along with pick-up location and contact details for my "Delivery Specialist." Then asked to agree to terms on 10/16 pressing a red button that has suddenly appeared on MyTesla.
I've experienced a similar problem here in Connectucut where I live on a narrow back-country road that's popular with bicyclists -- especially on weekends. I often find myself slowly following a cyclist who has no idea I'm there. I think honking would be rude, startling to the cyclist, and...
Configured our Sig X about a week ago and got call yesterday from TSLA offering 6 seat option without charge. Also learned that while 2nd row seats can be moved forward to create more space, they do not fold down. Still, TSLA Rep said there's room enough for a bicycle so we're happy. Second...
My "Sig' sequence # is 435. No Configurator invite so far -- going on factory tour next week. Hope I'll get to see "S-X" production line!

Can't find the "Edit" button. My Sequence is 435, USA, Signature, received 5-16-2013.
Weird -- both our sales rep and a guy in customer relations said it was "selective". I figured Elon was using this airport so he could demonstrate how the D" can go 0 to 60 down the runway in 3 seconds (with no driver).
I got one too but will have to come out there from NYC. Trying to figure out how we made the list and how many invites. Do you own "TSLA" or have an order in for a sig X?
What's the extended height of the falcon doors? Forgetting about your own garage, could they open in a typical "shopping mall" garage? (Whatever is "typical" for those garages)
