Dielectric coolant in model S to save LDU

I did reach out to the company, to see if they have a time frame on the flush and they did say the amp cool ac-110 is what they suggest for the Tesla S and use it on their Test Plaid. Here is a powerpoint on the product and uses also. I plan on doing the bypass, with maybe adding a T line to...

Dielectric coolant in model S to save LDU

The company that sells the amp coolant says, since it is sulfur free so it is non-corrosive. I read most di-electric coolants have sulfur which will eventually damage electronics.

Dielectric coolant in model S to save LDU

I did contact the company that makes amp coolant in a plaid and they said it will be good in the older s coolant system. It is about $400 for 10L of it, to replace our coolant system fluid. They are working on a cheaper flush fluid to get the glycol out, as my local Tesla shop recommends I buy...

    Proactively replacing RDU/LDU

Hello Ray, does that tube not even carry coolant? And/or would you recommend installing the bypass and not removing the tube and putting in the plugs with this kit? You think that would prevent air pockets? Thanks for the help.

    Proactively replacing RDU/LDU

Hello NV Ray, I am really hoping I can save my LDU with this kit. I am going to attempt to install it myself this month. My LDU was replaced with 80k miles on the car and now has 106k so I am hoping if I install this now, if there is any moisture this will stop it now. For $150 and hopefully a...

I was going to swap to amp cool to save the LDU, but the cost is over $400 for the amp cool. So I was on the fence about it..was going to buy it next month and do the swap...till I found this bypass kit for $150. I just bought it today, but it shows it can be installed on the car and I can...

Michelin Pilot Sport EV Vs Michelin Pilot Sport S4

Okay so far on my commute. 4 miles streets, 5 miles on the freeway; not going over 65mph I have an average trip of 265 WH/MI. Then on my way home if I run the AC for the same 9 mile commute I am seeing 345 WH/MI with the 20 inch Michelin EV tires.

Michelin Pilot Sport EV Vs Michelin Pilot Sport S4

I will know better increases once I do a trip with a supercharger required. I know when I had the regular Michelin pilot sports I would lose miles on the freeway significantly. So far with just driving around town I noted I am getting closer to the range displayed on the screen.

Michelin Pilot Sport EV Vs Michelin Pilot Sport S4

I ordered the front tires from Italy and the rears came from a shop in Pennsylvania. The shop in Pennsylvania only had 4 tires.

Michelin Pilot Sport EV Vs Michelin Pilot Sport S4

I am using 255/40R20 in the rear for the 20x10 wheels. Slight stretch on the tires, minimum size for a 10 inch wheel, but I am over it since I have seen an improvement in range. As for the front I am using the 235/40R20 on the 20x9 wheels and they fit the rim perfectly.

Michelin Pilot Sport EV Vs Michelin Pilot Sport S4

I have all 4 Michelin pilot sport EV tires on my model S and can report better range than when I had the regular pilot sports. I have the 85 and charges to 240 at 100 percent so the additional range is a huge improvement. I was losing a lot of range with the regular pilot sports. I have only...
