Thank you all. I will wait until I get the new tires.

    Alignment question

I have done my own tire rotation on my 2022 Model Y every 6200 miles or so as suggested on owner's manual. My tires have about 32k miles and will need to be replaced in the next few months. One thing I've noticed is that there is a slightly increased tire wear on the inside of all 4 tires...

    Tire pressure issue

You can also force the car to relearn/reset tire settings and reset the mileage for another 6,250 miles. https://www.tesla.com/ownersmanual/modely/en_us/GUID-94F63B13-EA2C-45D9-83AB-5DCA6295D587.html#CONCEPT_FMN_B4Y_3TB

    Rear passenger window not moving

Is the puddle light working? A common window failure on rear windows can be attributed to a bad puddle light. Oddly, the window and puddle light share the same circuit.

Level 2 at home or just Supercharge?

Here to also recommend you install level 2 charger. Not just for the convenience. Where I live (Georgia), Supercharging prices are between 3 and 4 times as expensive as what I pay at home.

    Teslasy 9.6 inch display

FYI for all you Teslasy 9.6 inch display owners. There is a software update that fixes some bugs and adds some additional languages and screen animations. Version 3. Take a look at the instructions, it's actually three separate updates done in a specific sequence...

Doors keep unlocking after I leave my car

Any chance you’re using the Tesla Home Screen widget on your phone? I know it’s a long shot but I’ve had my frunk open before because I had not locked my phone before i put it in my pocket and the ”open frunk” widget icon got pressed while in my pocket.

USB Flash Drive for audio not recognized

I only use the additional usb for things like additional light shows or boombox sounds. I hated the usb implementation for USB music playback. Seemed too hard to find things or it would forget where it was and start over playlists, etc so I removed all music and just stream via streaming app...

USB Flash Drive for audio not recognized

Further down in the manual, there is this note... Tesla changed center console ports to be charge-only ports or not data-capable. You can, however, replace that module with an aftermarket data-capable module. That's what I did to my 2022 Model Y. Something like this... USB-C Upgrade Module...

Tesla 2023 model y completely dead while super charging

Your car has 2 batteries. The high voltage battery pack you charge and a smaller 12 or 16v battery for things like opening the doors, infotainment system, etc. It sounds like the smaller battery has died and needs to be replaced.

    Can MYP match MYLR range?

Doesn't the car allow you to configure your tire size, etc so it can automatically adjust speedometer, range estimates, etc?

  15. carlos31820

Can Y open garage door without myQ?

Does your car not have connectivity? MyQ should use your car's LTE connection.

    Tire particle problem

Model Y weighs less than a lot of SUVs and trucks out there (around 4400 lbs. for MY Long Range). Sure, it weighs more than comparable mid-size SUV but it's not like Model Ys are the reason for tire particulate pollution. Check out the weight of these popular SUVs in comparison.

2023 Model Y Rear Caliper Bolt

Yeah, I don't see a part number for those. So odd. Like you, I can't imagine you have to replace the entire caliper. Could you source a used caliper from a junkyard?

There is also an option in the mobile app to unlatch the driver door. This is for something like the door handle being frozen but could come in handy if the door handle actually failed in some way.

    50 amp circuit

It's normal for it to get quite warm while charging. In the case it should get too hot, there is a temperature sensor built into that Nema 14-50 adapter that will cause the car lower your charge rate from 32 amps to 16 amps and you will see an error on the car telling you so. For example..

Just Charged at a Electrify America for the first time......Not Impressed

For some reason, I've found that my EA attempts fail unless I do things in this order... Before plugging in, initiate a charge on the EA app by looking up the stall, etc. Once I do that, the EA stall will prompt me to plug into car and that seems to work fine. Whenever I plug in first and...

    Dash rattle

Seriously. I was CONVINCED it was coming from dash because banging on the dash would re-create the rattle. The acoustics in the car must be weird because it didn't sound like it was coming from the screen. Because there was NOTHING loose under the dash, one day I decided to check EVERYTHING...

    Battery Range after year

I've had my 2022 MYLR since May of last year, so around 15 months. If you look at the TeslaFi Battery Degradation report, you can see that my range (the blue line) goes way below average and back up to above average. I wouldn't sweat it too much. I am surprised at how much it varies.

Any 16V compatible portable power stations?

As fiehlsport posted above, the car does not adjust from 16v. Some 12v devices just happen to work with it (getting lucky). It's also the reason why some devices DO NOT. They can't tolerate the 16v.

Theater and Easy Entry driver profile

I ended up doing a similar thing. I deleted the Easy Entry profile. Then recreated it but the second time around, I only have the steering wheel move up away from my legs for easy entry. Seat stays in same position as my profile. So now, even when I do the theater thing, the steering wheel...

    Mobile service Windshield replacement

With the right equipment, it can be a one man job. Safelite uses a telescoping arm with suction cups that hold an entire windshield to allow a single technician to replace a windshield. Maybe Tesla is doing a similar thing.

    Mobile service Windshield replacement

If they're saying it can be done at home maybe I'm mistaken. When I had my windshield replaced, I had to bring it in.
  37. carlos31820

    Mobile service Windshield replacement

I don't think windshield replacements are done via mobile tech. You have to bring the car in for that.

Homelink Not Available for 2023 Model Y?

When I did my Homelink retrofit on my 2022 Model Y, the homelink plug needed to be unwrapped from the harness and it was located closer to the driver side fender than the frunk hatch. It took me a while to find it. Once unwrapped, it easily reached the mounting spot near the frunk latch.

iPhone app stuck at "last seen x hours / days ago"

I'm willing to bet that the car just does not have access to internet even if you are checking for software updates. It's possible that it says it last checked for updates just now but maybe it did not even connect. As far as traffic, my map seems to always show stale traffic data, as in...

iPhone app stuck at "last seen x hours / days ago"

This... whenever this happens to me, it's a glitch that gets fixed with a reboot OR the car is really in a spot with almost no LTE service so it can't communicate with the Tesla servers. The reason why your bluetooth stuff works is because its not relying on the LTE/Wifi connection like Sentry...

Should have purchased a CCS adaptor before the road trip

I've taken several 1000-1400 mile road trips and have learned to trust the car navigation. It's VERY accurate. Even when it tells me I'll arrive to a supercharger with as little at 8-10% it's always been right on the money or we actually get there with a little more charge than the car estimated.

    Alarm.com, MyQ and homelink.

There should be no linking of MyQ and Homelink. They are completely separate and don't rely on the other to operate. Homelink will only work if your car has the Homelink module (actual hardware) installed after the car was purchased (the car does not come with it from factory). MyQ, on the...

Theater and Easy Entry driver profile

This is admittedly a small annoyance but why does the car switch from my driver profile to the Easy Entry profile when I'm parked and open the Theater app? I know I can manually switch back to my profile but I wish it would only switch to Easy Entry when exiting the car.
