I drive about 25k/year. Also keep in the garage. Current degradation is 5.8%. Will sell the car if get to 15% drop or 5 years whatever comes first. Just wanted to see if there's something I can do better without more upkeep.

I use Tessie to keep track of the battery health. Charging overnight to 80% at around 12 amps 240v. Used Supercharger only 3 or 4 times in a year. Driving between 60-80 miles per day. Battery health is below average. I wonder if anyone has tips for a better charging routine.

I used it when my son put some sort of water repellant on his shoes and the whole car smelled like it. To my surprise the smell disappeared pretty quickly. I see myself using it once every 6 months or so on the freeway if caught some diesel exhaust.

Even with a 50% range loss you car will easily offer you an additional 60 miles of range every night with your current set up. I think that you just want to upgrade your charger because we all like upgrades, not because you need it. 😁

6-20 240V gives you approximately 5kwh/h. Or about 15mph of charging. Assuming you can charge from 10pm to 6am it gives you 120 miles of charge every day. If your 800 miles per month are somewhat evenly distributed then you drive unde 30 miles per day. 6-20 is much faster than you need.

Yes, but in 3-6 years when we EV owners try to sell our "old" cars we are going to discover that any new EV has at least 50% more range. EVs technology is progressing really fast. This will depreciate our cars more than we'd like.

I understand you but I just got back from a trip to the mountains. Instead of my Y I took 2021 F-150. It's got 720 mile range! I got back with half a tank left. With a Y I'd have to stop for charging a couple of times according to ABRP. Don't dismiss ICE cars just because EVs are more fun to drive.
