    Tesla Cockpit non-app BETA 2

This looks great. Nice work. Any way to chance to KM and Celsius for us Canadians? Alexa app would be wonderful - any update on when it may be approved and avail?

    Is this normal?!

We are safe, thanks for asking, and I don't take this personally. I had 12 km left to get the 5 km home, and had supercharged to 120 km for the 65 km needed to make it to my destination - almost double the amount I needed. Tesla told me on the phone this is a battery issue and they are...

    Is this normal?!

This just happened to me. I'm on the side of the highway, very close to my destination. Had 12 km on my battery and the car just shut off. My wife took a video of the screen as it happened and I'll upload it when I can. Needless to say, this isn't safe nor is it acceptable. 12 km used to mean 12...

    Is this normal?!

I've had the identical thing happen to me. August in warm weather, exactly 10 km left, but only 500 m from the Supercharger. Tesla told me it was a firmware issue that they were aware of and were working on a fix.

Nope. Still have them in storage.

Canada - Are you guys mounting your front license plates?

Seriously? Your sarcasm wasn't necessary, nor welcome. It avoids me drilling into the nose cone while I mount my plate.

Canada - Are you guys mounting your front license plates?

Drove for a year and a half with not front plate. I live in a small town and the OPP see my car all the time without issues. Just got pulled over last week by a visiting officer and received a warning. I've ordered the magnetic holder from the US to solve the issue.

Major unfair changes at Pearson Airport for EV charging!

Not $25 per day extra...just a flat $25 valet fee.
  12. M

Toronto Airport - Charge Stations for Long Term Parking?

Just a reminder that you don't actually need to use the valet service - you can drive in and plug in on your own, then switch your parking ticket over to long-term at the valet counter once you return from your trip.

Brand New Rims available - 19" I keep switching my winter and summer sets over my Aero wheels. If you have a set of Aeros to trade, I'd be happy to make the swap. Eli has them at the SC at Lawrence. PM if interested.

Time to Shop for Winter Tires

Hey Everyone, Sorry for the delay in responding to those that have expressed interest in my winter tires - I've not had any chance to come onto the forum to check messages! So...I still have base wheels for sale, new and never used (I keep switching over to my Aero Rims during tire swaps). If...

    Eastern Canada Superchargers

My HPWC is always available on route for you. Had someone stop by on their way from Ottawa area to Toronto yesterday. Quick top-up and along the route. Take 7 to Mamora, cut across toward 401, charge on the way, and hit the 401 the rest of the way to Toronto.

    Notifications/iPhone and V.6.0 Software

Thanks, Tomas. Tried, but still had the same issue. Solved it now, however. The iPhone needs to ensure the Tesla wakes up upon initial installation of the notification settings. My car was taking forever to wake up, so it didn't allow me to go in on the iPhone and change the settings. After...

GTA - Who needs winter tires?

For those still looking, I have a set with only a few thousand KM on them, mounted on Tesla Factory Wheels. They are the Tesla Winters that they offer online. I don't like the Factory Wheels (I'm using my Aero's for summer right now). If anyone is interested in purchasing them, send me a note...

    Notifications/iPhone and V.6.0 Software

Thanks. I have tried that, but I can't actually turn them on. The instructions in that area you directed me to tell me to do it in notification centre in the iPhone settings. When I go into the notification centre, there isn't the Model S to select from. I have the latest Model S app... See...

    Notifications/iPhone and V.6.0 Software

Hi All, Just got updated to V6.0 yesterday, the same day the new iPhone came out with iOS 8. I'm working away at turning on the new notifications and following the instructions on the Tesla Model S app (which was updated to 2.0 on Sept. 11). I'm supposed to turn on Notifications in the...

    YYZ Charging Stations Etiquette

In the winter, I drain most of the charge getting to the airport in the winter, and need a full charge to get home. If you're plugging in your Tesla, you are allowed to drive in and park on your own - you don't need to use the Valet service. I've been flying a lot and have returned home...

Not resolved. Still having issues - no connectivity at all. Reboots not working. Will call tomorrow.

    Driving Between Ottawa and Toronto

My HPWC is always available for a top-up mid-trip. Head down the 401 to Exit 509 in Brighton. From there, you can head North, charge at my place (and have some wine, coffee, and some play time for the kids), and then continue onto HWY 7 and up to Ottawa from there!

Ugh - awful. I'll update this thread as soon as they contact me with the "full" and final fix from engineering.

Drafty Cabin - Report issues here please!

Awesome. My wife believes the triangular windows simply need to go. They are problematic, but look great! I hope the fix works for the time being, and the permanent fix makes this all a thing of the past.

Drafty Cabin - Report issues here please!

Quick Update. MY DRAFT IS FIXED. Well - almost. It's leaking a tad bit of air, but this is the best it's been. Ever. In both cars I've owned. Tesla took the car in for approx. 1 week to work on things. I had sent them a photo of the temperature dropping 12 degrees between the centre of...

    Model S sightings in Ontario

Doug - thanks for the hospitality, and the test drive in your Model S! For those following my plight with my Model S, Doug took me for a rip in his car to show me what a non-drafty vehicle felt like. The verdict? It has no draft :-) Thanks again for the charge, but more importantly for the...

Drafty Cabin - Report issues here please!

Very true. When I was down south a few weeks ago (and with the old car), my pano-roof got wedged open on one side, and sealed down on the other side. The ranger that came to fix things up told he he just returned from Norway, where he was helping out the team there for 3 or 4 weeks. He said he...

    Driving Between Ottawa and Toronto

Sorry to just catch the update on this thread now! I've got an HPWC that you can use on the way home if you like. You can take HWY 7 home toward Peterborough, and cut up toward Campbellford just after Marmora. Charge at my HPWC to give you enough charge to make it home, if you like. You can...

    Model S sightings in Ontario

My first out and about sighting! Yesterday (Friday) in Toronto, saw a grey 85(P?) coming out of the parking garage. I was two cars behind you in my black 85. You came out of the garage and crossed Gerard, though it didn't look like the guy in front of me really wanted to let you in with the...

I gave them Kevin's name and location! Thanks for your recommendation. I find it strange that they would tell me they've not had ANY issues with a window draft before my car. Hopefully Kevin can make a long range visit and look after things ;-)

Drafty Cabin - Report issues here please!

Ugh. Just heard from Tesla. I shot a photo of my triangular window after washing the car today because water shot into the car and was leaking down the window, probably where the wind noise is coming in (and the draft?). Their response? See if I want them to buy my car back and be done...

My first 450km day of driving.

I'm not sure it's pride, I expect it's the lack of available charging infrastructure. In my case, it's the later. Couple that with mass amounts of driving (over 20,000 km in a few months), and you're bound to cut it close on more than one occasion.

My first 450km day of driving.

Glad you made it! The HPWC is a life saver, and has helped me on numerous in and out occasions. I wondered whether I needed one when I purchased, but now I'd never go without. Nice work on the range. I bet you were pretty anxious! Rest assured, I've driven below 0 on many, many occasions...

Opticoat - Toronto, GTA, Peterborough, Belleville, Kingston area?

Rattle might be the pano-roof. I had a similar rattle with my last Model S. They will definitely have some touch up paint. Great of Kevin to offer the fix!

Opticoat - Toronto, GTA, Peterborough, Belleville, Kingston area?

Awesome. It's incredible what the opticoat does. Driving around the last few days and the mud barely sticks to the car. It's nice to always drive with the car looking new! Too bad Kevin couldn't fix the stone mark, or the glass scratch. But I expect he made the rest of the car look so...

Opticoat - Toronto, GTA, Peterborough, Belleville, Kingston area?

The cars usually come in with a few days (a week?) before delivery date. I had Jon trailer the car over to Kevin and then trailer it back. He was very accommodating and did a great job co-ordinating with Kevin to make it all happen. It didn't bump delivery date at all, although my car may have...

Opticoat - Toronto, GTA, Peterborough, Belleville, Kingston area?

It can be done anytime. Easier to have it done on delivery, though. I had Tesla bring it to Kevin when they received it. It saved Tesla time because they didn't have to do the finishing work, and it made the car perfect for delivery. I'm sure Jon can arrange it - he was so great to arrange...
