Holiday update killed my AP3 triplecam. New triplecam part is visually different?

Holiday update killed my AP3 triplecam. New triplecam part is visually different?

Tesla had to replace my windshield cameras and the windshield harness after the holiday update. I noticed on the new triplecam, both the left and right cameras have plastic pieces extending from the sides - probably to change how the light hits them? Has this already been discussed? Haven’t...

    2023 Holiday Update Imminent

Just brought my car home. June 2021 Model 3. Windshield harness + triplecam replacement seems to have solved my issues. The technician found high resistance in the harness. Really strange that a software bug could have caused this issue. I don’t think I’ll ever immediately update a Tesla again!

    2023 Holiday Update Imminent

I have some alerts as well, several days after install. Cameras went blank for about 10 seconds, then I got 20 alerts in a row. Autopilot ECU is in critical status Main (triplecam) camera in critical status Obviously all camera-related features fail to function. I have an appointment...

    Falken Azenis FK460 A/S Tires Preliminary Review - '21 Model 3 Performance

I've had these on my car in 235/35R20 sizing since November, put about 3,500 miles on them so far. I'd say the Pirellis are maybe 5% quieter due to foam lining, but the Falkens are more comfortable. Falkens grip way better in the rain. Pirelli consumption was about 235wh/mi new, and 215 wh/mi...

My Model 3 seems to be re-calculating range after adding 20” wheels

Lowered on Eibach springs. My energy usage increased about 20 wh/mi, which is about a 10% decrease in range. It’s worth it for the looks though.

Emergency Lane Departure - False Positives

Bump Been noticing lately that Emergency Lane Departure Avoidance has been aggressively beeping, stating “take over immediately” when I already have my turn signal flashing and I’m simply trying to move over multiple lanes from the passing lane. It doesn’t beep on the first lane change, but it...

Are there any 18" Model 3 tires as/more efficient than the Michelin MXM4?

Everything here that gets an A in efficiency (gas pump icon) should match the MXM4 efficiency. Not all tires are sold in US, but there are quite a few options...

    Michelin Pilot Sport EV [tires]

True, I believe the 19” tires for Model 3 and Y wheels may be different for EU. I couldn’t find US Stiletto or Gemini tires on mytyres. Also couldn’t find the new 2022 21” Michelin PS4 for Model Y Performance.

    Michelin Pilot Sport EV [tires]

Bump because my Pirellis are about half-worn so I’ve been researching tires on US sites, which have very little info on rolling resistance and such. However, I got the idea to look at the EU tire labels. Seeing the labels makes me conclude there’s no way the T0 PS4S was a beta EV tire. Here’s...

    Lowering Springs for 2021 M3P

I know fender to ground was 27.25” front and 27.5” rear. I don’t know jack points, but I will say it’s quite low now and my black plastic side under panels are scratched to hell from exiting parking lots

Selling 2022 Model S LR reservation

If tesla catches a potential buyer making this switch, they’ll cancel the order. $300 might be fair to purchase a reservation and risk it. $15k is so beyond absurd that I’m at a loss for words.

    Creak from rear suspension

My Eibach springs definitely creak when cold. Only over uneven surfaces at low speed, never any other time. During summer, I had no noise at all.

    18” Aeros to 20” 2020 Performance rims on 2021 M3LR

Can’t speak for LR, but I went from 18” aero with MXM4 to 20” performance with Pirelli P Zero Elect on my SR+ and my wh/mi went from 210 to 230.

Have there been any tests on how significantly the 2021 wheels & tires affect range?

An update. I installed Uberturbines with Pirelli P Zero Elect tires in place of my original 18” Aero wheels with MXM4. Wh/mi has gone from about 210 on MXM4 with 5k miles to 230 on brand new Pirelli. This represents roughly an 8-9% change. I’ll be ecstatic is this drops closer to 220 wh/mi as...

    Lowering the Model 3

So an update, for anyone interested. I have the unique experience of driving stock Teslas at least a couple times per week at work. Of course, 3/Y are the most common. I have Eibach springs, an Unplugged rear sway bar, and 20” wheels with Pirelli P Zero Elect tires on my SR+. Ever since I...

My Model 3 seems to be re-calculating range after adding 20” wheels

From what I was able to find before adding wheels, the car will not calculate range any differently simply because wh/mi goes up when you add larger wheels and stickier tires. However, I added 20” Überturbines 3 days ago and I’ve driven about 150 miles so far. My car was calculating 80% range...

    Lowering the Model 3

Any SR+ owners out there with Eibach? I have some brand new ones with the most updated part numbers. The front is totally silent, but the rears are squeaking every once in a while. Not bad - 1/10 noises. You have to listen for them. Just wondering if it’s expected? they were installed at a...

Have there been any tests on how significantly the 2021 wheels & tires affect range?

There are plenty of tests in the 2018-2020 wheel designs on the forums and on YouTube. However, the 2021 wheels across the entire lineup are clearly designed for range. The sport wheels are much flatter, the Uberturbines look to have way less drag, the Arachnids are flatter with a huge aero lip...

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

Has anyone had time to test Pirelli P Zero Elect tire wh/mi compared to the other higher performance options? Pirelli promises “up to 15%” higher range due to low rolling resistance on the Elect line. Appears to be the default on 2021 Performance Model 3.

    Model 3 AC Smell Update...

My June 22, 2021 build is starting to get smelly already. I’ve left it on auto during the entire ownership so far. I’ve driven about 4,000 miles. I wipe my upholstery down every wash, which is about every 3-4 weeks, so it’s not due to neglect or spills. I don’t think the new filters do much.

Does anyone have Michelin MXM4 on their 19" wheels?

Interesting to see you’ve done it! Is it fair to compare a 10” wide tire to an 8.5” wide tire though?

Does anyone have Michelin MXM4 on their 19" wheels?

Bump. Hoping to buy some Tsportline TS5 19” wheels. Has anyone tried MXM4 tires on 19” wheels yet? Can’t lose too much range for looks alone with my long commute.

    Lowering the Model 3
