    Roadster mechanics in Los Angeles?

I've been calling around; I just called Gruber to confirm what I have learned so far. As far as I know it's either Javier, or Fernando at Tesla Long Beach. Javier is busy and so is difficult to confirm an appointment with (for me at least), but I just spoke with him and was able to explain the...

C-tech(?) CCS adapter for unenabled Teslas?

    @DerbyDave, you're not getting it.

C-tech(?) CCS adapter for unenabled Teslas?

@DerbyDave, Maybe I didn't make myself clear enough in my first post. I did not ask about the Hansshow adapter. I'll rephrase my question, "Where can I buy the 'C-tech' adapter that DaxM mentions that works with cars that are not CCS-enabled, at 3:03 in his video?" Also, it looks in the video...

C-tech(?) CCS adapter for unenabled Teslas?

But they have 100% 5-star reviews on their site! ; D ...but more seriously, Amazon has a relatively decent rating of 4.2, but that's for a small sample size of 32.

C-tech(?) CCS adapter for unenabled Teslas?

So they do... so they do. Unfortunately, it appears that the retrofit is for only Model 3s.

C-tech(?) CCS adapter for unenabled Teslas?

DaxM, in his video here, , says there is an adapter that works with CCS-unenabled cars. He says something like "C-tech". Is there such an adapter? Am I getting the brand spelling correct? Where can I buy such an adapter?

Here's my estimate for my LTE replacement appointment a month or so from now. Is my service center trying to screw me or what?

Has anyone ever received an alert from Tesla warning of a low battery?

Regarding the GSM Roadster-to-Tesla communication feature, has anyone received an alert from Tesla warning them of a low battery? Michael Degusta states, "According to the Tesla service manager, Tesla has used this information on multiple occasions to proactively telephone customers to warn...

Price Difference between Roadster Sport 2.0 and 3.0

I agree with shrink that the price difference will decrease over time, but there is a reason in addition to the rarity to pay more than full price for an upgraded car as well: your time it takes to upgrade the car.

Yeah, that makes sense; not sure why I even asked now.

Price Difference between Roadster Sport 2.0 and 3.0

What is your experience with the difference in price - all else being equal - between a Roadster Sport 2.0 and a Roadster Sport 3.0?

Performance test - who in LA is available for a sprint?

My Roadster Sport was not driven much for a year or so, and now seems slower to me. I'd like to test it against another Roadster Sport to see if it's just that I'm comparing it against the P85D or if it really is slower now. (I asked the shops around here and they don't seem to have a Sport.)...

    seat modifications

I wanted to be able to hold my head upright without it bouncing against the headrest, and my shoulders to be unslumped, so I inserted some extra padding behind the top center of my seat. See sixth photo here, Tall Mods - Modifications to the Tesla Roadster for Tall Drivers .

    Tall People Downsloping Roofline

Teslas have always felt very closed in due to the low, forward roof and heavy roof pillars. The design makes it difficult to see traffic lights. Also, the Roadster seat and the new S seat push one's shoulders forward into a concave position. Both Porsches (911's) and Toyotas (4Runners, Echos...

Do you prefer the original seats or the new seats?

There is one photo in this thread, P85D - NEW Seats Announced - Finally!! that may have not been taken at the event. You can also see the new seats on Tesla's website when you design a Model S, but as you stated they are only renderings. Unfortunately I posted here after I sat in the seats and...

Do you prefer the original seats or the new seats?

For those of you who have sat in both the original seats and the new seats, which one did you prefer? (By the way, they have a car with new seats at the Century City Mall Tesla store.) For me, I like the added thigh support and deeper torso stabilizer in the new seats, but the facts that the...

Tall Mods - Modifications to the Tesla Roadster for Tall Drivers

Accelerator Adjustment I wanted my right leg to be as stretched as possible when I am driving so I adjusted the accelerator back an inch. Now it barely hits the frame, but I still get maximum acceleration. Three bolts attach the accelerator box (plastic with electronics inside) to the pedal...

Tall Mods - Modifications to the Tesla Roadster for Tall Drivers

I'm 6'6". As most tall drivers have done, I've removed my visors, and exchanged my stock rear view mirror with the Sector 111 Micromirror, which I tinted. Here are a couple more ideas that I've implemented: Roof Spar I first tried the simplest approach: I made a heightened roof spar from...

    2.0 / 2.5 Roadster / Roadster Sport Tire Thread

Eberhard, I believe you are referring to the Toyo Proxes 4 here. Are you comparing the noise level of old AD07's to new Proxes 4's (old tires are almost always louder than new), or is this your sense in general for the tires. Thanks.

    Mirrors Interior and Exterior

Haha, that's great: all the tips on changing lanes. I use the full throttle technique all the time too! I just ordered the Multivex mirrors for the Elise too though just to be on the safer side.
