I'd certainly recommend a test drive, even if just for the experience of driving a Tesla! I had one back in Summer '20 in Solihull (in a Model S Performance as they had no available Model 3's at the time...), so there's certainly more than just the four you mention. It's absolutely worth it...

She’s open for business! No pics but there were a number of customers inside today, plus a cleaner at 7am this morning! Still 4x empty blocks where I suspect more superchargers will go eventually, but a fair few M3/S/X behind the gates.

For me personally, I think fines for any vehicle not actively 'plugged in' would be the best route forwards... policed in the same way maximum-stay spaces are policed today (via traffic wardens). This would mean if a car isn't plugged in, they're fined. If they're plugged in not charging...

Daily update; some more Teslas landed on tarmac. Plates range from ‘17 to ‘70 so unsure if show stock or employees cars etc. some furniture arriving inside too and signage continues to go up.

Question is... do we think the superchargers are live and available to charge?

An exciting milestone reached today. After tarmac laid last week, the first four superchargers were installed today. Looks like they may be v3 as only have a single charge port? I took the Liberty of picking one up - probably the first in the country to do so I reckon!

Thanks - my query is more so “is there any risk to the electrics / water ingress etc?”. I appreciate there’s more care when washing by your own hand, but realistically is there a significantly increased risk by taking it to the car park guys?

Is it safe to wash your M3 via a human car wash and/or machine car wash? Or should owners only clean themselves?

I should add, there are workers on site most mornings (0730) and still there at night (1800) so appears work is ongoing, albeit slower than I’d like personally!
