What's your recent experience with service? About 100 miles from nearest SC

I posted the comments below in reply to a potential new owners question on Facebook earlier this evening. I decided to post here to see if anyone here on TMC is having a similar experience. Actually also hoping this is seen by a concerned exec at Tesla and the poor customer service I have...

Dome lights on, parked in garage, no key in vicinity?

Wife has noticed that our X dome lights are frequently on while the car is parked in dark garage with no key fob nearby. Doesn't happen consistently. Is this a bug? Or, maybe a feature? Maybe it is detecting motion nearby and turns the light on? Firmware V 8.0 2.40.21

Blackvue DR650S Review + Tesla Model X Install

I think you are missing the fact that this camera should be installed with an "always on" power source. So, while it might take 35 seconds to boot, once it is installed, I will always be recording.

Installed 2.32.100 last evening and yes, the FWD's are now working as designed. The site ev-fw.com is great for keeping up with what updates are out.

    Lowest programmable trunk height?

I did set mine to not open fully, to keep the spoiler from hitting the garage door when it's open. After banging my head for the umpteenth time, I am really hoping that a future software update offers some fix. 1. Let's put the spoiler down when the car is in park. This will clear the way...

    Radar detector options?

Hank, Just wanted to share that I was also a Valentine detector devote...I own three of them. That is until I was forced to buy the Escort 9500ci in order to get something to work in my 2013 Model S. Suffice it to say that the Escort is the best detector I've ever used. I think you would be...

    model X charge port door

The UMC that came with my X will open the charge port on my 2013 Model S, but not the X. Not really an issue, I just give the front portion of the port door a slight push and it pops open. Also, I love the self closing feature on the X.

    Low coolant.....

Thanks for the replays. SC found a small leak and repaired. While they had the X they fixed some other small issues that they noticed and went out of their way to get the X back to me quickly. GREAT service! DW

    Low coolant.....

My wife noticed a small puddle of blue fluid on the garage floor when I backed out the day after we received the car. I called our service center to see if they had an idea what it could be. They suggested washer fluid. Fast forward a couple days and I started receiving "vehicle coolant low"...

    Panic! Can't Charge!

Picked up the X last Thursday. I have been having similar problems with charge port. Port door won't open, lock pin not opening, seems like plug won't seat properly. I have rebooted with no improvement. Finally got it to charge last night but this morning I went to increase the charge % to...

Just got an email to pay for my 90D

Also received the email with payment total. Sales tax calculation is at a higher rate than my 2013 Model S. Looks like I am paying Chicago tax rate this time and paid my local rate in 2013. The only difference is that my 2013 S was delivered to my home (what happened to that unbelievable...

Transform your drive on 19" wheels

I installed the Michelin PS3's on 19" Rial Lugano's new in Winter 2013. They seemed very good that winter. We even drove from Chicago to Florida through some very intense weather (northern route via Northern Indiana, Washington D.C. and down east coast since superchargers were still rare...

    Afraid to trust navigation system

This is a pic of nav when I was exiting Country Club Hills supercharger to go southbound on I 57. This is just one example of the MANY times Tesla nav has presented very convoluted directions. I think Tesla should just implement Waze and quit burning valuable time trying to reinvent navigation.
