    Colorado DMV registration?

Same message for me with our Y purchased in 2021 ("need a decal"). I really don't want to go to the DMV, has anybody had success simply mailing in a check, or will that get rejected?

What Causes this [12V] Charging Profile

Yes, app updated but car FW still needs an update to support showing pressures. If this is driven by the app on my phone doesn’t that imply I could turn off background updates for the app (or remove it) to prevent it from waking the car constantly?

What Causes this [12V] Charging Profile

I too have noticed my M3 waking up very often. My bedroom is above the garage and I hear relays clunking quite a bit (several times per hour). This probably started about 3-4 days ago.

Car is doesn't know which way it is pointed

My 2019 has been doing this about 50% of the time in the morning when I start my commute. fixes itself after about 3 mins of driving. I figured it was some sort of software bug…

thoughts on Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus Elect for Model 3?

Here's an update on these tires vs the MXM4s after about 200 miles: -Definitely quieter -Definitely not less efficient, likely more efficient My lifetime Wh/mi is 250 with the MXM4s in Colorado climate. Finished a roadtrip with MXM4s last month and averaged about 255 Wh/mi. These new tires...

thoughts on Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus Elect for Model 3?

Yes, it was strange, DT website showed $307 for MXM4 but in store he quoted me ~$250. Maybe the sales guy was looking at the wrong tire? I confirmed it was TE version. Not a big deal as I didn’t really want the MXM4 again anyways.

thoughts on Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus Elect for Model 3?

Also picked up some Pirelli Elects today. Noise a major improvement over MXM4s with 3/32nds. Will report on efficiency after a week or so. Were slightly more expensive than new MXM4s but I wanted to try something new since the OEM tires only gave me 11k miles (most of that wear was probably in...

Replaced Air Filters, still musty/old smelling.

100% auto, 21 months of ownership and the smell is now pretty bad, especially after rain. Was first noticeable after about 12 months. In Colorado, so fairly dry climate. Gonna swap filters and spray with Kool It this weekend.

MY White Paint thick enough for Harbor Freight buffer?

Maybe try clay bar first? I had some orange flecks on my white model 3 bumper, they wouldn’t come off with anything, but tried clay bar and they were instantly gone. I think they were iron/rust flecks.

Payment method: Plaid vs direct draft

I'm also finding that the work-arounds to Plaid aren't working... Wire transfer is probably the next best option? It sounds like acceptance of personal checks is a service-center decision.

Did the $7k additional tax rebate pass?

Also, if Tesla doesn’t adjust pricing and a credit kicks in, demand will go through the roof and lead-times could get extremely long...

    Winter Tires on Model 3

Drove around on new Xices over the last few days' snow here in Colorado. We have Blizzaks on our Subaru, and I've run various other winter tires on my Model 3's predecessor, an Acura sedan. I would say the Xices are decent, but the Blizzaks' performance has been much better. I know it's not...

Are XL Load Tires Mandatory? (Blizzak WS-90 vs. X-Ice Xi3)

I ran 94s on an old Acura against the manufacturer’s recommendation of 98, using the same weight logic as above. However, this discounts the handing hit—it was very noticeable in that old car and I regretted getting those tires. I guess the weaker sidewalls flexed more during cornering... I...

Winter driving advice, winter tire choices, etc.

I just did this myself, but with Xices: $835 for 18” Aero rims from eBay (you can likely do much better if you live near a larger city and can purchase off craigslist) $120 for TPMS from Amazon, installed myself $790 for purchase and installation of Xices at Discount Tire -$70 rebate for...

    Cannot enable Cabin Overheat Protection

Just today I did a chat with Tesla (took about 20 mins to start the chat) and right away the agent knew what the solution to my problem was (grayed out cabin overheat protection). They confirmed what others have said here, that the car's state is not correctly marked as delivered. She submitted...

    LR AWD Waiting Room

Took deliver this morning! I was nervous about defects and the process (probably too much time reading these forums) but I used a delivery checklist and found zero problems. The delivery process took 30 mins, most of which was an orientation. Car is awesome!
