I was one of the first to buy a MS. My vin was 715. I never had an issue with that car. I am now on my second MS and have ordered a MX for my wife. As far as I can tell these cars are extremely reliable.
The MX may not be perfect for everyone, certainly not for me. But when I look at the competition there is no question MX is a far better vehicle. And the icing on the cake is that it produces no pollution!! To me that seals the deal even if it is more expensive than others. We ignore the cost to...
1. Since it will be electric = no pollution I would buy regardless of price
2. I would probably lease as a company car
3. for the MS I was #671 in the queue, #80 for MX. Hopefully I will be within the first 20 for the M3
Got a couple of leather keyfob holders and two grey Tesla hats.... and when I walked in the showroom to see my car for the first time they had an ipad on a stand with a Welcome (name) sign.... a nice touch
i purchased my Model S without driving it!! I drove a demo 2 weeks before delivery. I have never regretted it. I absolutely love my car. Best purchase ever!!!
Life span of a Model S 21" tire
Does anyone know what the life span of a 21" Model S tire should be if driven in a normal fashion?
My Model S needed all 4 tires replaced with only 12,000 miles. I drive conservatively and was expecting at least 20,000 miles.
Really hard to choose one. They all have been great at the Dania Beach store. I have not met one employee who does not shine. I would have to nominate the entire Dania store employees. ALL are great.
I wonder about the mic location... when sunroof is open I can't talk on my iPhone using bluetooth and the onboard mic. The wind noise coming in from the open sunroof is too much and people can not hear me.
Any ideas if this can be fixed?
I guess I am not the only one... already scratched two wheels and front left fender... MS is wider than my previous car so it took me some hits.... errr.... time to get used to it
I am sorry for your troubles.
Florida has something called "Lemon Law" which means that if you get a "lemon" you can have to be given a new car.... hope there is a law like that where you live.
Knowing Tesla's customer service, however, you will not need to use any laws. I am sure Tesla will...
I ordered my Signature P85 with all the bells and whistles .... and I am 100% satisfied... would do it again
I didn't need a Model S... I could have purchased a Prius... but I did buy it and I am glad I did.
I set up the Sound system with all the settings on max and it sounds awesome... better...
At least you guys have a purpose, be it dogs, telescopes or something. My wife simply wants an SUV. Our dog is so small it fits in a prius so no excuse there.
Hey Jalopnik, NYT and any other journalist out there: Quote this:
"I love my Tesla Model S and I love the company that makes it and I love the service they provide and I would buy it again in a heartbeat."
Please Please quote that next time you write about Tesla!!!!!
1. HPWC showed up today
2. Still no tittle.... must be DMV's fault; not Tesla's
3. Still no rear seats.... don't mind this too much
4. Sunroof fixed this morning.... Tesla's runner showed up at 9AM and fixed it... WOOT for Tesla
5. No sunshade .....Solution: Will start A/C from iPhone before...
Living in Miami where the sun shines strong the sunroof glass gets hot. Recently, the temperature outside was around 84 degrees. I had left the car parked out in the open for a couple of hours. When I got back into the car to drive home, I noticed the top of my head was warmer. It wasn't too bad...
I think Tesla is out to get me:
Vin 715 and
1. No HPWC yet
2. No title
3. No rear seats
4. Sunroof does not open after software upgrade
5. Promised sunroof shade but none delivered.. and I need it
On the other hand, Tesla made a car 20 times better than I expected.... so I am giving them some...
Living in Miami I need the sunroof shade... When I park my car outside in the sun and I come back I feel the heat on my head and it is not even 85 degrees here yet. I dont want to think how it will be when it is 98 degrees.
So definitely I do need the sunroof shade
I really want Tesla to succeed but the possibility always exists. I believe if that were to happen, the cars already built would become collectible items. In a few years when more cars "leave" the road due to accidents and other reasons, those still on the road would be more valuable.
I have driven about 2,500 miles since November 13 2012 in my model S Signature.
Lately I have noticed that the discharge rate is greater than the miles driven. For example, I drove about 48 miles today starting the day with a 232 miles range. I drove 48 miles and had about 150 miles left at...
2,300 miles on a Model S signature and these are the problems I have seen:
- Right front door has to be closed harder
- Car needed front end alignment as it was pulling to the right
- Windshield washers hitting too low.
- Sometimes I hear a noise coming from the left front speaker. It seems as...
I have owned my Model S for 3 months now and I love it. I have seen some bugs but they are minor... like my iPhone does not always connect and small stuff like that. Those details are bothersome but they are minor compared to how great this car is.
I am sure CR will find basically the same...
I got my Model S back on November 13th 2012 (a date I will happily remember forever). So far I love my car.
I do have a small problem. Tesla has dropped the ball when it comes to getting me a tag and title. By DMV's law, only two temp tags can be issued. I called Tesla Ownership to find out...
