Drove by around 8 pm on 17 July/Tuesday and the barriers were still up and the chargers still caution tape wrapped. 8 - ( This is about the SLOWEST activation I have seen or read about in a very LONG TiME.

The P90D(L) at Sacramento last week had a 1.635 second 60" time. a 7.123 1/8th mile time @ 97.23 mph

The quarter mile is a balancing between "soft enough to get grip" and smooth as speed increases. Most drivers lower their normal road driving tire pressure about 10lbs or so for more grip off the starting line.

Fastest actually strip timed quarter mile that I know of in a P85D(L) is 11.34 done at Sacramento Raceway about 3 weeks ago.

So, what does it take for a P90D(L) to actually produce the advertised "10.9 seconds in the quarter mile?" The Motor Trend and Car and Driver Model S cars were direct "loaners" from Tesla and clearly IMHO the MT car was NOT running the same software the "rest of us have."

Also, she did NOT even lower her tire pressure!

She had the stock 21" performance wheel and tire combination AND the panoramic roof. YES, as far as I can tell, she turned the FASTEST EVER quarter mile time by an owner car P90D(L).
