Costco told me Michelin X-ice Xi3 wont fit with my SR+

I just got my X-Ice installed at Costco Nanaimo on Wednesday. They had no issues installing them nor did they give me any flak about speed ratings etc. I specifically asked in advance if they were comfortable installing winter tires on a Model 3 and they said they have the lift adapters and they...

    BC and (new) Referral Program

I presume it’s traffic related. But in future it would be great to have one in Port Alberni for the Tofino trip and Courtenay area too. One can hope. I guess a CCS adapter would also help...

    BC and (new) Referral Program

I’m grumpy about this too but I don’t blame Tesla (other than their lack of communication) since this seems to be a BC legal issue. And at the end of the day I still have an amazing electric car. If I had been able to use 7500 km of supercharger credits I figure it would have saved about $150...

    BC and (new) Referral Program

I charged today and was billed for it; I just talked with chat and the rep said he'd dealt with several people about this already and they were looking into it; he figured it was a glitch and apologized. I sent an email too.

    BC and (new) Referral Program

Yes. I just checked the app and mine don’t show up. I have used them a couple of times in the last two weeks so I know they were definitely there and working. I am planning to visit the local supercharger later today and I’ll see if I get charged or not. Then I will inquire/complain with Tesla...

Does Fortis BC has higher peak period rate?

For now, yeah, we're all in the same price boat. But I know someone who consults for BC Hydro and I asked them last week if they are considering time of use pricing at all given the rise in electric cars; they said they'd heard talk of it as a possibility. I also saw this on the BC Hydro...

I can just go by what the DA told me on the phone - obviously I'm not an employee, so can only go by what I heard. This DA was in Las Vegas too. I had no issues with my 1K cheque.

    Vancouver BC VIN .

You can bring a personal cheque if the amount owing is under $10,000. I did and had no problems at all (just $1000 owing after my financing went through).

This really varies. I didn't have my MVPA show up online until after I'd driven the car home! It is definitely possible to get your delivery call before this has all updated on the website.

    Insurance in BC

I just got the car yesterday and picked up the same package as you (though pleasure use, which takes it down to $920). Postal code V9S The agent told me specifically that Model 3 50 is the SR+ version, so I can confirm this too.
  11. W

    Vancouver BC VIN .

I wouldn't go by VIN necessarily. My Vin is in the 395 range and apparently I have HW 3 (that's what I've been told by more knowledgeable members going by the software version installed). Remember they are making 7000 Model 3s a day, so 395 and 398 and 401 might be all on the same day of production.

    Vancouver BC VIN .

I don’t think anyone knows yet for the SR+. I believe for people who get it included (LR etc) they have a free year then can subscribe for $100 a year. I’d pay that in a heartbeat if they offer it to us.

Streaming music and internet was too good to be true. I left the car for 30 min and when I came back it was gone. Oh well, I thought that might happen.

    Vancouver BC VIN .

Thanks for the info. Happy to have HW3 after all, though I wouldn’t have been too grumpy if I didn’t get it. As I said I didn’t get an MVPA on my online account and had to look at it in the store on signing. It had the same information as I posted. They said the document would be available on...

sorry I meant the luxury tax. I paid pst and gst like everyone else. I was wondering about the HW version. I didn’t order FSD and I wasn’t sure what software version means what. Are you sure it’s HW3?

I never had the full Purchase Agreement online for some reason. But I saw 12% for ages and then it changed to 13% yesterday and then 12% again this morning and stayed that way through the payment at the store. Had $1000 Payment due (finances the rest) and I paid with personal cheque.

I’m just on the drive home (ferry lineup) with my new SR+ (black, black, 18” aero). The fourth avenue process was pretty good - there were quite a few people there but it was orderly and well laid out. Lots of lounge space to wait and then I did my documents and insurance in the front area where...

I'm picking up my black/black/aero SR+ today at 1pm; I'll report back on my experience. Hopefully as a Monday it won't be as busy as a weekend. I will be taking my inspection checklist, though I've already decided there would have to be a pretty serious issue for me to reject.

A couple of notes from my conversation with the very helpful delivery person in Las Vegas. First all deliveries will be on 4th now. Since I’m scheduled for Monday I definitely go there instead of Powell, which is still listed on my account. Second she said that I could take a blank personal...

I'm curious about why having HW2.5 or 3 in the car when you receive it is a concern. Isn't it only going to be important if/when you pay for FSD? And at that point the cost of the upgrade to 3 will be covered anyway. If having HW3 doesn't provide any improvements to autopilot etc, then I'm not...

BC EV rebate to run out of money soon?

Actually it's slowed during the last week and is now under $300K per day, so this current batch may last until June 13th or so. But of course, they still have money, yes, so they should put another 10M in the fund around about then. I wouldn't worry too much about the BC rebate.

When I got my tentative delivery date, it didn't change until I asked them to push it a couple of days because of a schedule conflict. They were going to try to have it ready in Vancouver on the exact day and time I'd had in my account for two weeks (exactly 4 weeks from order day of May 3)...

Just a quick update on my order - I got a call this morning from a Tesla rep in Las Vegas to confirm that my car is now in Seattle and heading to Vancouver shortly and that they would try to fulfil my original delivery date and time of Friday May 31st at 3pm, though they couldn't guarantee it...

    Vancouver BC VIN .

I would recommend not going by the posted date and relying on the phone call; all the info I've got here and from talking with Tesla on the phone is that until you actually get the call from the local delivery people, nothing is set in stone, and it wouldn't make sense to show up based on the...

I got exactly the same email (different agent, but same text) this morning. I did ask about the delivery time and he replied fairly quickly (within an...

Are Canadians still getting Model 3s right now?

It's an estimate. The car could be delayed at the border, or in transit, or at the delivery location, so they can't give a firm date until it actually reaches the delivery destination. They've told people to take it with a grain of salt until they get a phone call - at that point the car will...

    NEMA 14-50 Adapter From Third-party?

There’s a retailer in California that sells all sorts of adapters and ships to Canada. EVSEadapters.com electrical adapters for Tesla drivers, welders, RVs I ordered one from them and then had to cancel because I’m making a garage upgrade and they had good customer service and a no hassle...

Yes they are. I emailed the manufacture directly and they said they were almost completely sold out, with new stock coming in July. There may be a few left on partsengine, but you have to plug in 2018 Model 3 as they don’t have 2019 in their system yet. Same car of course.

Are Canadians still getting Model 3s right now?

It’s not just money making but also capacity. The SR+ is selling like hotcakes and demand is high, which leads to a longer wait time. Given Wall Street and the last quarter Tesla is highly motivated to deliver cars. I’ve called the 1-888 number a few times to check in on my order and they’ve...

BC EV rebate - with orders having a delivery date shown

I got the Tesla roof rack (it’s been hiding in the basement for a couple of weeks) and am just trying to decide what box to get. Canadian Tire has surprisingly good pricing on the Yakima boxes and I’m leaning towards the Skybox 16. Probably more for camping than skiing. We are moving from a...

BC EV rebate - with orders having a delivery date shown

No, I’ve blown my budget on a roof rack and cargo box and to be honest I’m not that worried about paint chips and minor dings etc. Our current car I only wash a few times a year so just taking regular care of the M3 will be a big step up for me...

BC EV rebate - with orders having a delivery date shown

The The Scrap-it program is a nice idea, but almost useless in practice. Before May 1st I contacted a few EV dealers who had vouchers left and they had allocated them only to the most expensive models of the EVs they carried, plus often when the Scrap It site said there was a voucher a direct...

BC EV rebate to run out of money soon?

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was 80% or higher. A look on autotrader shows there are almost no EVs available in the province other than a large number of Chevy Bolts, which either are in great supply and selling well, or dealers can’t move them.

Are Canadians still getting Model 3s right now?

I ordered May 3 and have never heard from a DA but I’ve got a delivery date now and I called in and found out I have a VIN assigned though it’s not on my page yet. The DA system seems to be a bit inconsistent.

Are Canadians still getting Model 3s right now?

I think that the $1M that went so fast was some pent-up demand from when the fund was down for a day, and we’re tracking closer to half that rate on average. I’d guess at 14-18 days for the rest of the $10M, then if they continue to put in $10M at a time, there are three more inputs, for a total...

BC EV rebate to run out of money soon?

Remember there was a day when the fund was empty. So the last day or so of reservations probably accounts for 2 days of sales. Still, it is going very fast... would be nice if Tesla reserved earlier like the other dealers.

BC EV rebate to run out of money soon?

I think someone said something upthread about dealers booking the rebates when they take a reservation. If that’s the case there’s going to be a big backlog of Konas and Leafs and Souls etc. Some of those reservations might get abandoned if the time limit passes. I know Kia / Hyundai are having...

BC EV rebate to run out of money soon?

It's pretty clear in the text "We have been advised by government not to expect a gap in funding and anticipate further funds to be added shortly, as committed in the BC Provincial Budget 2019." I would be surprised if the fund isn't topped up within a few days time.
