parallel universe: assume $ is not an issue (gas, payments, etc.), would you still insist driving MX/MXP SUV over say BMW X7 SUV 100% fully optioned ?

You are overreacting and overthinking this is my opinion. There’s no perfect vehicle. If you want a great EV, accept a Tesla and acknowledge that it doesn’t have basic parking safety features 2015 cars do. But it gives you a large network to road trip with. It is generally low on maintenance...

    2021 40k mile Model X LR+ w/HW3 & Autopilot ($60k) or 2023 6k mile Model Y with HW4 & FSD included ($47k)?

Model X 2022 is $85k used from Tesla. Where are you seeing 2022 X in the low 60s? Also what I am really looking to hear from you all is whether I should go with a used X or a newer Model Y :)

    2021 40k mile Model X LR+ w/HW3 & Autopilot ($60k) or 2023 6k mile Model Y with HW4 & FSD included ($47k)?

I don’t qualify for any tax credits. I also don’t take out loans of any kind even if it is 0% interest. I just buy it in cash. With these two pieces of information - what are your thoughts? Thank you.

    Do all 2023 Model X have HW4.0 (AP04)?

Is there a range somewhere that shows which ones would likely have HW4? I am looking at one but since it’s not directly sold by Tesla, I am unable to have Tesla look up the code. The VIN is XXXXXXXXXXF40XXXX just for reference if someone can help confirm if it has RYZEN chip and HW4?

Stalk or no stalk argument [not] settled

I’d agree. There are probably a few buyers like me who test drove one and came out just confused as heck due to the stalkless design and just can’t see themselves driving one. And then there are some who would buy one because well, if Tesla’s doing it it must be the way of the future! All in...

Stalk or no stalk argument [not] settled

Great. This should really help! Still no front bumper camera / parking / cross traffic alert sensors, though, yes?

Stalk or no stalk argument [not] settled

Ignoring the astronomical insurance costs for a minute, I can comfortably say that the stalk-less design of the Model X is the very reason I decided to not buy one when I was this close to pulling the trigger. I don’t want a company to force me into learning something so radically different. I...

Please! Talk me out of MX Plaid !!!

Just on the spaciousness alone, EV9 was hands down better. I am not even gonna argue about infotainment autopilot and the tesla ecosystem’s superiority. It crushes Kia in those areas. But Kia has a galore of safety and other features X doesn’t have, almost 300 miles real world range, and aside...

Tesla: Highlights from our upcoming Spring Release below

100% with you. Not buying car brands that force planned obsolescence on you is the only viable option. But the options are running out fast lol. Anything that “gets better” with software ultimately “goes obsolete” when developers decide that a certain hardware is not what they want to...

Please! Talk me out of MX Plaid !!!

EV9 (aside from FSD and 0-60) is superior in every single way to a Model X Plaid including safety features, spaciousness, build quality, comfort, and drive-ability.

    High Fidelity Park Assist

I hope you get those updates soon. I just noticed something after driving a couple of Teslas enabled with park assist and vision system. The older Tesla that has HW3 (and subpar cameras) faired worse than the newest HW4 equipped Tesla which also comes with cameras that are day and night better...
