A relatively successful drive from California to Texas and back

I was also worried in the morning that the windows and doors would be frozen o_O

Solo Roadtrip from San Diego to Vancouver (Canada) in a 2022 Tesla Model 3 Long Range

Very detailed write up, pics at every charging spot! I thought you drove one-way over 6 days, but it was the whole thing! I agree about long drive, I can only do about 400mi a day reasonably. I just did 3500mi trip but it was over 11 days. The last time I did 600mi in a day everything hurt, and...

A relatively successful drive from California to Texas and back

I made my 11-day trip to see the solar eclipse in Texas. Supercharging went mostly well with significant waits only at two locations. A few other places only needed about 5 minutes wait time. The worst was at Willcox, AZ. In Childress, it was raining a lot suddenly, and Tesla rerouted me through...

    Supercharger - Childress,TX

No, I did not forget. It never crossed my mind because I've never had to consider it in Southern California!

    Supercharger - Childress,TX

I barely made it to Amarillo today. I had charged up to about 72% in Childress, figured that should be enough distance to get to Amarillo. Then during drive it said I will end up with 12%. Then I saw it go down to 9% when I was halfway and thought, *sugar*, I'm going to freeze to death. Couldn't...

Line at this supercharger 😩 Also area is flooded, hopefully I didn't bork the car driving through it

    Supercharger - Willcox, AZ

I think I had a two hour wait, and then had a bum charger that oscillated between 0 and 30 kW, then limped to Deming. What a waste of time. Didn't arrive and sleep until 2am and ditched the next day's plans to sleep and drive to next night's destination.

    Supercharger - Willcox, AZ

Two of eight chargers down. One works on some cars, apparently not mine

Most likely. If only the Lordsburg SC was up, then we would all be golden.

    Supercharger - Willcox, AZ

I'm currently stuck here with a long line. No level two charges anywhere 😭

Supercharger - Bryce Canyon City, UT

I agree that would be ideal, and I am aware of some destination chargers near Bryce, but I am afraid someone is going to charge and leave it overnight or not enough chargers!

Supercharger - Bryce Canyon City, UT

yay, great location! I've always wanted to visit but am afraid of the range issues. Now you can explore the surrounding areas more comfortably, too.

Ford says owners can start using superchargers today (Feb 29)

Is there a post with pictures of non-Tesla charging at the superchargers now?

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

Yep, the iON EVO AS. I had the OEM MXM4 before. Also forgot to mention it is 18" tires. I like these new tires, too. I was going to get the same old MXM4 to replace, but decided to go with more modern tire.

Ford says owners can start using superchargers today (Feb 29)

In retrospect, I take back what I said, because I don't recall seeing any documentation in Europe where Tesla said it is fine to take two or three stalls to charge. How did Europe non-Tesla cars manage to do that?
