Highland suspension on 2019 Model 3

No need to change the rear springs. They set the rear ride height and that's not something I wanted to change.

Car Controls -> Service -> Reset TPMS Sensors -> Learn New Pressures This should take in your current tyre pressures as the new setpoint. I haven't tried it myself.

Highland suspension on 2019 Model 3

It's been good. I think the new dampers strike a good balance between responsiveness and comfort, which is entirely subjective.

I'm not seeing the difference. Can you elaborate?

Highland suspension on 2019 Model 3

Lining up the studs to the FUCA mount was a real pain in the ass. I used a jack to help press the top hat into the mount, leveling it out so I could screw on the nuts. The new damper has slightly longer studs than the old one (2018), which makes it a little harder to clear the upper control arm...

Thanks all. Will give the advice a try this weekend. Happy Friday

Highland suspension on 2019 Model 3

For those of you who've successfully replaced the fronts, will it be an issue if my top hats came crooked from Tesla (see attached)? I'm not sure how this will play out during installation, since I need to align the top hat studs into three holes while re-installing the 21mm bolt through the...

Off roading with rear diffs makes a huge difference

By far, this is the best video explaining the need for a differential

This is what the front dampers (dual-motor variant) look like:

Highland suspension on 2019 Model 3

Imho, there are two pieces of information that I thought was important in my decision to replace the Nyloc nuts: Nyloc nuts will never be as secure as the first time they were tightened. Tightening the nut will force the Nylon into plastic deformation to provide ample friction against...

    The elusive thin-walled 13mm socket

Thanks @afadeev. Got me one of those 2300MZ-13 sockets and measured OD to be 17.1 mm.

Highland suspension on 2019 Model 3

I concur with everything you said. At work there is a speed bump that feels awfully violent if I drive above 20 mph. Today I took that speed bump at 30 mph and the new rear dampers really helped reduce the peak acceleration I felt as the rear tires hit the bump. A tad bit more time to settle...
