    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Could be tire differences between the MSP and MSLR, not to mention possible differences in diameters chosen (19/21").

Free paint was offered on orders placed in December, 2023 through sometime in mid-January, IIRC. It's been $2,500 since, at least for US orders. I'm happy to see the $2k price drop since my order w/free URed was canceled and the drop makes up for most of the difference. Since I'm not a large...

Schedule the delivery to avoid cancellation. Call your delivery center and explain your situation. They may be able to work with you. But don't try to fight the computers, you will lose (like I did, full story coming soon). My take: It's a terrible way to communicate to customers.

Steering on the throttle - pulling right on acceleration and left on deceleration

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. Glad you found it and should be easily fixed. Can you post a picture of this tire showing the defect?

My SA said no to the ACH transfer (either push or pull), cashiers check works. OK, fine, $10 and 40 minute wait for approvals of that size. Got update offer to pick up what I ordered mid-December (free paint) last Friday, 3/1. Looked over car for 1.5 hours, brought wifey for extra skeptical...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

I made a separate bank account for Tesla purchases/Supercharger charging, etc. My hope is to take my own laptop to my delivery appointment and once provided Tesla's bank routing information, log in to my bank on my device and direct my bank to do a ACH transfer. Or I'm fine to give Tesla my...

Just got an offer to schedule MSP delivery date of 3/3 - 3/5. Picked mid-day on 3/5. With regards to insurance, I worked with Progressive, who was cheaper by $200/6mo than USAA where I have several vehicles, yet no autos (just motorcycle policy) at Progressive...go figure. Anyway, we set up a...

Got my "RF" VIN mid-day today. Wahoo! Don't give up hope, guys! Had to accept Tesla Vision, understood, yes, whatever. MSP UR/black/19/yoke. OD: 12/14; EDD: 2/27-3/6.

Yeah, this is getting exciting...looking forward to it, glad to see not all panel alignments are horrible. I felt compelled to order before any increases on 12/13 for MSP UR black yoke 19". At time of order, EDD sometime in Dec/Jan, but soon that turned into 2/4-3/17, which was a bummer, but...

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

For others reading and interested in learning and sharing, changing caster definitely does change bump steer. Personal experience in addition to my C7 adjustment: On an open-wheel formula (wings) race car, I took out several degrees of caster in the front to lighten the steering weight in...

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

Not sure I want to join this, umm, debate, but I'm quite certain toe out causes inner tire wear, regardless of camber. Extra negative camber just makes inner wear worse. A smidge of toe in on the rear gives stability - toe out in the rear can make a very unstable car under acceleration out of...

Teslas sitting at Super Charger in cold weather

Disclaimer: I have never owned a Tesla, but have one on order, but I am here trying to learn. If the display doesn't tell the user anything about "warming battery before charging" and only shows "charging at 0 KW", is the user really at fault here? The owners manual (I did read it) doesn't say...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Ordered Dec 13, EDD Feb 4 - March 17th. Hoping for an upgraded yoke (no, not a wheel...wow, there are some passionate haters!). But if not, plan to get a wrap - some sort of alcantara or microfiber or similar. Been lurking here for a few months, first post, first Tesla, super-impressed by the...
